Savannah had her hand on Derek's chest, his hands holding her face gently, keeping her lips attached to his. Not that she would have pulled away anyway.
Derek was focusing too much on the beating of her heart to hear the Deaton's footsteps coming closer to the examination room. He was continuously tell himself over and over that she was okay. That she was here with him and not lost in the woods anymore.
Derek didn't understand why or when this girl got under his skin. He spent many nights, awake in bed staring up at the ceiling trying to figure it out. She was beautiful, he couldn't deny that, but there was more to it than that.
The kiss deepened naturally, one of Derek's hands going to her waist to pull her closer to him and Savannah's arms went around his neck, pulling him down. Savannah was about to open her mouth, to allow Derek's tongue an entrance when they heard someone clear their throat.
Savannah and Derek separated almost immediately, Savannah's face and ears were a bright shade of red. "uh.. Dea-Deaton.. we-we were.." Savannah stumbled before looking at Derek and then down at the floor in embarrassment.
"You were kissing in my examination room" Deaton finished her statement for her walking over to move her arm and check her ribs for tenderness to make sure that she had healed properly this time. When there wasn't any tenderness, Deaton looked at her "You should be all set to go" he said.
Savannah looked up at Deaton, fear radiating off of her."Please don't tell Scott.." she pleaded with him, biting her bottom lip.
She knew that Scott was over protective and even with Derek being an alpha, Scott would still try and pick a fight.
Deaton smiled at the girl and touched her knee, ignoring the light growl that absentmindedly came from Derek's throat, "You have my word Savannah, this isn't my secret to tell but you might want to tell him before he does what I did and walk in, it seems that you two don't focus on your other senses when you are around each other"
Savannah nodded at Deaton as he removed his hand from her knee, "I will let Scott know that you are cleared to go as soon as he gets back," He told her looking from her to Derek, thoughts popping into his head, that he wasn't quite ready to share yet.

It had been a week since Savannah was lead into the woods, a week since Derek kissed her in the animal clinic and a week since Deaton had walked in on the two kissing.
Savannah had been expecting that Deaton wouldn't keep his promise, that it would slip out when Scott was at work, but it was never brought up.
By the time the weekend rolled around, Savannah thought she was clear. She hadn't woken up in the woods, hadn't felt like someone was watching her and the full moon wasn't for another two weeks.
As she sat in her room, finishing up a paper that was due the following Monday, she heard a knock on her door, "yeah?" she called out, not looking up from the computer screen in front of her.
Once the familiar scent hit her nose she turned and looked at Derek who was leaning against her doorframe, his hands in your pockets "working on anything interesting?" he asked a small smile playing on his lips.
Savannah was instantly aware of what she was wearing, she was in Scott's lacrosse sweatshirt and shorts that were barely visible, "um, its, um its an English essay on how Daisy Buchanan is actually Jay Gatsby's American Dream, not the riches that he has" she replied, quickly realizing how nerdy it sounded.
Derek nodded his head and walked into her room moving to sit on the corner of Savannah's bed, "so the answer to that is no" he said and chuckled dryly.
