Chapter 3: The Same

Kazuya’s P.O.V

The next day Riko decided that after what happened with Momoi we could have a break from training.

I couldn't be still after last night so early in the morning I was at the gym shooting hoops. Kiyoshi came in and caught the rebound when I missed a three. 

"Last night...?" He started. "Was that a rough time for you?" 

"Rougher than you might think" I replied waving my hand as a gesture to practice with me. "Thanks for reminding me that I'm human".

"You reminded me how much you can do" he shrugged. "Even now you still are on a different level". 

I scored a three and he dunked. 

We stopped for a break and I smiled "People misjudge people like us".

"That they do" he laughed. "You are very funny". 

"So are you" I replied as I turned to look at the hoop. "Basketball is the one thing I love aside from my brother" I explained. "But there's something about you..." 

I moved to the stage and sat on the edge as he followed. 

He placed a hand to my cheek and the other on my waist before pressing his lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck bringing him closer to me and then I broke away to lay my head against his chest. 

"We're the same" he turned my head towards him. "There's something about you..."

"Kiyoshi!" Huyga shouted opening the door. "Are you in here?"

Then he saw us. 

“What are you doing?" He asked with a very confused look.  

"What would you say if we told you we were together?" I replied. 

"Guys, they did it!" Huyga poked his head the door and everyone came running into the room so I ducked behind Kiyoshi then he wrapped his arms tightly around me pressing my body against his.

"Don't worry; we'll give them what for" he whispered in my ear. 

I nodded and he carried me on his back and as I saw Kagami's face; my face split into a big grin. 

"You hurt me in anyway; you have to answer to him" I laid my chin on Kiyoshi's shoulder.

"Of course I do" Kagami shrugged.

I got down and we split into years and the first years gathered around me.

Furihata asked "So what happened?" 

"I'm giving any details but..." I looked at Kiyoshi who was smiling as he explained his way. "There's something about him".

"What happened?" Koga asked.   

"I can't explain how or what I'm feeling" Kiyoshi looked at Kazuya who was laughing. "There's something about her". 

"You really like her, don't you?" Huyga asked scratching his head. 

"We're the same" he shrugged.

Kazuya's P.O.V 

"We're the same" I shrugged. "Now do youse mind going away we were practicing?"

"You two are our back-up duo" Riko smiled. "Come on, people, youse have more aquatic training to do".  

Everyone filed out and Kuroko looked back.
