Kazuya’s P.O.V
We won against Josei like it was nothing; I was on the bench for this game because Kiyoshi thought I needed more rest.
I was fine but he thought it was for the best.
But during that match I felt something from Kagami that I shouldn’t have.
There is a room where only the talented may enter and so far only the Generation of Miracles are the ones besides me who have entered the room but I’m in the dark.
As I watched Kagami play I felt the door of that room being forced open. I was sure that the others had felt it to because Kuroko looked at me from the court and I nodded.
We were going to have to watch Kagami closely.
We had a short break before our next game but despite it being Shutoku; I wasn’t really fired up considering we beat them in the Inter-High prims.
I wasn’t going to be put on until later but watching the first few seconds was funny.
Takao stole the ball from Izuki and passed to a teammate who thought he had a clear run to our hoop but guess who appeared in his way.
Kuroko.
But no-one was there to back him up and Midorima caught it instead.
The first two quarters were interesting but the scores were starting to get closer.
“The score 45 43” Riko sighed when we were in the locker room. “I’m swapping Kuroko with Kazuya; hopefully she’ll turn the tide”.
“Swap Kuroko with Kazuya?” Kiyoshi frowned. “What can you do against them?”
“You’ll see, tree trunk” I patted his head. “I’m not that weak as you might think I am”.
“How else do you think we win against them in the Summer?” Huyga snapped. “Kazuya won us that”.
“Careful, Kazuya” Takao smiled as I tapped myself in. “We don’t want to have you injured”.
“Too bad; you have loads of talk but you don’t show it” I smiled as the ball came spinning to me.
I disappeared in front of his eyes and wound up near their hoop with no back up.
“Guys!” I yelled looking around. “Seriously!?”
“Kazuya, pass it now!” Huyga replied. “You can’t shoot from there!”
“Shit” I cursed as I realized he was right. “Fuck!”
“Language, Number 15” Ostubo smiled. “A girl like you shouldn’t be swearing”.
“Seirin member change!”
“Izuki, you’re off” Riko explained. “If Kazuya gets pulled off she’ll just irritate me”.
“I’m already irritated” I hissed. “They are so going down if it’s the last thing I do”.
The score was 68 76 when Kuroko decided to come on and I was seriously getting pissed off.
“I’ve been waiting for you, Kuroko” Midorima laughed. “Let’s see what the Phantom Twins have up their sleeves”.
“Up our sleeves?” I returned the laugh making everyone look at me. “Well, that’s something you’ll just have to wait a little longer for”.
“And Kazuya’s back” Huyga tapped my back. “Let’s give them what for”.
“You bet” I nodded.
