Mia's pov
A few weeks before back to school, Mia and her elder sister,
Skye, decided to shop for new clothes and school supplies.Their mother, Beth, insisted to join them.
She was more like their best friend than their mother, always giving them the best fashion advice and talks about school and boys, but sometimes she can be a little bit bossy...
"Come on girls, we don't have all day." Their Mother said.
The chauffeur held the door open for them. Mia went in the convertible first, putting on her designer sunglasses, the sun was shining, beating down on her olive skin.
The chauffeur started driving, she watched the palm trees pass by. Mia's caramel brown hair flowed with the wind, shimmering under the sunlight.
They arrived at the biggest mall in the city. Mia jumped out of the car, untangling her wavy hair with her fingers then sleek on her favorite lip gloss.
When they walked through the automatic doors, the AC blasted in her face giving her goosebumps.
Beth had already booked them an appointment at the nail salon so they headed there. Mia stared at her nails wondering what colour she should paint them. She ended up choosing gold for her toes and turquoise for her fingers.
After their mani pedi, Beth decided that they should get some new jewellery that's in the season. She looked at Mia's fake ruby earrings and bought Mia a real pair of one-carat diamond earrings.
"There, isn't that better? Don't you like it sparkling? Dump that old fake thing away, it looks horrible." Beth commented looking satisfied.
No point arguing with mother, she'll always win. Mia thought.
She sighed and obediently threw her old earrings into the trash.
"Hmm...both your hair looks rather dull maybe a trim might help." Beth touched Mia's and Skye's hair gently.
Skye had blonde hair and big blue eyes like my parents and I didn't look anything like them. I had wavy caramel brown hair and emerald green eyes. She looked like a top model and I was just the runner up.
Mia thought.Jealousy rose up her chest, she wished she looked like her sister but that would be impossible.
Mia stared down at her hair, it was growing down her hips with obvious split ends . Beth was right, she needed a trim or maybe even more than a trim. She ended up cutting it right above her elbows, it's finally shiny and split-end free. Now time for some serious shopping.

Mia had no idea how many hours had past but she definitely needed a break. They went to a cafe and squashed on the seats surrounded by their shopping bags. She rubbed her feet, suffering from several blisters. The waitress came to take their orders.
"I'll have a celery juice." Mia ordered. She is going on a healthy diet so she wouldn't gain any extra pounds.
Skye was lucky to be born with a Super high metabolism rate, being able to eat alot without getting fat. She looked at the menu and ordered food filled with lots of carbs and calories.
Mia tried not to be tempted.
When they went back home, Mia kicked of her shoes and gathered her hair into a neat bun. Then carried her shopping bags and ran up three flights of stairs to her room. She placed them neatly at the corner of the room.
She skipped merrily to the bathroom, washed up, slipped on a tank top and comfy shorts then went to sleep.

(Next day)
Mia decided to do some D.I.Y.s though her mum thought it was messy and a waste of time but Mia liked letting her creativity flow and have things different from others. Most of the room decor in her room was what she made.
Mia pulled out a turquoise folder from the shopping bags , using a silver paint pen, she drew designs on it. Then pasting silver washi tape at the corners.
She bought a mint blue wallet from Kate Spade and added some gold studs on it and on her pencil case too.
Mia ironed on a galaxy diamond print on her turquoise school bag , snip of the tag and brand then added silver studs all around it. Finally she put on a keychain that Charlotte gave Anshley and Mia to represent their friendship.
Three of them were best friends since forever and nothing could break them apart...
Mia continued designing all the plain spiral notebooks then she prepared her emergency make up bag which was transparent and waterproof.
She placed her brand new products inside like tinted lip balm, scented wet wipes, travel size perfume and moisturizer, colorful hair ties, hair clips, mints, mascara and a small hair brush.
The colours looks amazing through the transparent bag I guess its kinda tumblr..? Mia thought
She packed everything neatly in her school bag.
After that she had to clear out the rest of her shopping bags.
