“Where's Liam?” I said before popping a French fry on my mouth.

Niall looked up, “He went to the hotel to sleep, I think he said something about skypeing Ashley.”

I shrugged and took a sip of my soda before going to the bathroom to fix my face. I had Erika help me pull my hair up, It hurt to lift my shoulder too high. I propped myself on the counter and wiped the eyeliner out from underneath my eye and reapplied it. I curled my eyelashes and figured not to wear too much make-up, it just wasn't necessary. I opened up my black retainer case and pulled out my top retainer. The dentist instructions were, “Wear it at least twelve hours a week.” might as well get it over with. I didn't mind it, it didn't look bad on me. I adjusted my black and pink yoga pants a bit and unwrapped the ace bandage around my shoulder. I followed the nurses procedures with out her. I placed a gauze over the scabbing wound and wrapped it tightly around it. I adjusted my black halter top and waved to Louis, James, Edward, Harry, Niall, and Erika leave to the zoo. Niall had convinced them that they should go to the zoo instead. I shoved the last of the chicken nuggets in my mouth and picked up my soda. I swallowed and cleared my throat,

“Ready Zayn?” I smirked.

“For what?” He wiggled his eye brows.

“You're nasty...We're going up stairs to see the girls.” I didn't like to call them the cancer patients, it sounded like a racist term. Like something that would put someone down.

“Ohhh!” He grinned, I knew he liked to see them, they warmed our hearts and we loved them. I padded to the elevator in my fuzzy slippers with Zayn trailing close behind me,

“You know for someone who's crippled you move pretty fast.”

I shrugged and pecked his lips sweetly. He smirked,

“Ahhh... common, that's it?” I kissed him a bit longer, trying not to wrap my arms around his neck as the elevator door closed, “Better.” he said as I pulled away. I tapped my black tipped acrylics on the railing as the elevator heaved to a stop. I tried to run excitedly to the room our girls were in but instead scrambled sloppily across the linoleum floors. With careful warnings from Zayn I finally made it to their room. I peeked my head in with a small smile. The girls looked up from their laptop/ book/ Ipod/ phone. They were all bald but a few days ago we bought them animal beanies. The one in the monkey beanie was Nicole, she had amber brown eyes and she loved to read. The one with the duck beanie, that's Shea, she has blue eyes that shimmered when she played to guitar. Shea's something else, she really is, she's sarcastic in a way that reminded me of myself. To the left of Shea's hospital bed Dana sat with her Panda beanie over her head. She smirked at me over her lap top, she was shy but really opened up when Zayn came around. Finally, Molly a petite Hispanic girl with hazel eyes adjusted her teddy bear beanie on her head and waved at me. I waved back and entered the room and sat on the rocking chair in the front telling Zayn to wait where they couldn't see him. I cleared my throat,

“Hello.”

Dana shut her laptop and grinned at me,

“Where's Zayn?”

I smirked mischievously, “I don't know, you tell me.” They all looked confused and so I continued, “You guys, toss me your beanies.” I held my hand out. Only receiving a teddy bear beanie. The other girls looked unsure but they still tossed it to me. I leaned back in the chair and pulled the duck one over my head stuffing my high bun into it. I sniffed and smiled,

“You guys look great.”

They did, you don't need hair to be pretty, it's whats on the inside. They each picked up a hand mirror off the side of their bed and inspected their looks. I could see Nicole's lip quiver a little as she rubbed her head. I frowned,

“Stop that... You guys are beautiful, you don't need this stupid shit.” I patted my head. I inspected their faces. Nicole was trying to put on a strong face, and Shea was smiling weakly. Dana wiped away tears and so did Molly.

“You know, I'd like you to see something.” I turned around and showed them the back of my ankles, “You know what that symbolizes?” My lip was starting to quiver too.

Molly shook her head. I took a deep breath,

“It means strength, because with out it... I could guarantee you... I wouldn't be here right now.”

I wiped away my tears and smiled at them I picked up the heavy zebra print make up box and said,

“Who wants some make up?”

The girls jumped up and scrambled to the box. Before they could open it I said,

“You guys... Wait.” I turned to welcome Zayn.

He came into the room with his hands stuffed in his pockets and a small smile on his face. I stopped him and pulled him to the seat I was sitting in and smiled up at him,

“Aren't they beautiful?”

He nodded very truthfully,

“Most beautiful I have ever seen.”

I saw every one of them giggle and turn a little pink. Finally I snapped open the make up box and laughed as Molly chases Zayn around the room with lip stick.
