If I was not any wiser I could have been nagging myself for making Lawrence a business enemy. But I was wiser. So wise that the nerve of the man irritated me. Who did he think I was? Fucking coming into my office, no show of courtesy, placing his stinky ass of an ass on my chair, then having the courage to call me by my first name and tell me to take the offer now before he runs my business down to the ground. Who did he think he was? He might be a god to everyone else but not me.
The business world might not acknowledge me as savvy businesswoman. Even as my business made feat in the industry, no magazine called for interview on the product. They use my damn product but don't care who was behind the ingenuity because I am a fucking woman. I have a pussy and because of that, I don't have to be on the covers of Business Illustrated. Everyone around me underestimated me, my smarts, what I am capable of and because of that, I had to prove myself over and over again till I got this far. I was still the top company with franchises and subsidiaries and a rising competitor to Thunder industries, yet no one noticed how far I got. They all thought I would be bankrupt, closing shop a few measly moments after I opened. Yet here I was, getting the attention of no other than Lawrence Thunder himself.
He was only here because I have beat him for the last three years, stealing his market shares slowly by slowly and making more profits. He knew that this company was a threat and saw that it being operated by a woman was its weakness. He underestimates me just like everyone else. The business is not the treat, I am and he is yet to realize that. Coming in here, all might and glory, waltzing that melting piece of popsicles he call a dick in here and demanding to buy all that I worked for the past fifteen years for twenty one billion, with no fucking spare change because I am a woman and I am not a threat. He might come at me with all he's got but at the end of it, he will be kneeling at my feet. 'Just think about it.' Nonsense of a man. He's the one that should think. Walking into my office and telling me to jump and expect me to ask how high just because he's got a fucking dick. Well, news flash Lawrence before this is over you'll know that I am more a man than you'll ever be in your entire life.
In that moment of full revelation did Pauline decide to walk in my office, coffee in hand. I smiled, as she looked around, confused. "He's gone?" I huffed. What a stupid question. Does she see him here? I raised my eyebrow at her. She turned to leave. "Pauline." She looked at me, astounded that I remembered her name. I always did and I refused to refer her using it deliberately so when the time came she'll know who is boss, like right now. "Yes, madam" I looked at her right in the eye, "If I ever find somebody seated in my chair again, I will fire you and ruin you." She nodded, making a hasty retreat. After a few moments immersed in silence, I breathed out, the only sound consoling my ears. There was nothing left to do now but to wait. As always men forgot their manners, he'll be the first to kick-start it all. I'll just have to wait and see if it will crumble my tower.
