The fight for freedom (Agent 24)

Agent 8 was climbing the last ladder to the surface. Behind her was her brother how carried the unconscious Agent 3 and behind him where Cap'n Cuttlefish. Agent 8 thought that lots of things had happen the past three days, especially today.

Her brother had woken up while she whose doing some test and she had immediately return and that was good, because her brother was shocked and confused.

He had taken cover behind a couple of seats on the train and threat Cap'n Cuttlefish to not get closer. Nothing of that he or the Off the hook girls said to him made him calmer, only after Agent 8 came on board did he calm down a little.

She told him of that has happen after they got separated and introduce him for Cap'n Cuttlefish, Pearl and Marina. He was sceptical about Cap'n Cuttlefish and the reason is that he remembers meeting them, then they patrolled around the Mount Nantai, and they attacked them, but his sister insists that he was a nice person and that he is sorry for attacking them so he let it pass.

After tell her all of that has happen, she went silence for a minute before she continued with a troubled expression. "I know it is strange for me to ask you this, but could you tell me your name." Her brother blinked. "You don't remember me name?" She nodded shamefully. "How much do you remember about before we got trap here?"

She told him all that she could remember and he listened with great interest about what she remembers. After she told him all, he thought for a bit. "Okay, so you don't remember that much, but don't you worry. I will tell you so much I can about your past so let begin to tell you all me name. My name is Sev or that is what everyone calls me as I don't have a real name."

He continued tell everyone about his and her sister past and it was not a special happy. They both were orphan as their parents had died when they were small, their mom in childbed and their dad in an accident two years later. They had spent most of their time on a horrible orphan and they were happy to leave and join the Octarian army when they were ten years old.

He told them about the dull, but not horrible life with the army and continued on with how their life changed then they heard Calamari Inkantation. At first many tried to leave, but soon everyone was forced on Hypnoshades to prevent us from leaving Octo valley.

Then Agent 8 asked what her name was, he answered that like him he didn't have a name and most people called her Eight. When asked about that happen after the fight, he didn't know. All he remembers that he find a Telephone that told him that he needed to do some test and thing four thangs to get to the Promised Land.

He had located two of them and went to get one of them. When he arrived and found the first thang, he had felt like something sting at his neck before feeling very sleepy and after that everything went black. Next he had waked up on the train with Cap'n Cuttlefish looking at him while speaking on a radio.

He had no idea who had shot him or why and that puzzled Eight somewhat. Lucky was that the second Thangs that Sev had located were the last one for Eight. So after some testing, in which Sev couldn't help as he were too weak from all the sleeping, they arrived and collected the last Thangs.

What happen after that made Eight's skin crawl and made her also sick just thinking about it. She with the rest had return to the place there they had meet the telephone and give him all the pieces.

The telephone had congratulated Eight for her work before it started to fuse with all the thangs to create what looked like a giant mixer. After it had fused it offered them to go in so it could transport them up.

All that was a lay and had not Agent 3 come to the rescue in nick of time, she, Sev and Cap'n Cuttlefish would have turn in to smoothie. Unfortunately had Agent 3 knocked herself out while she crash in to the telephone and mixer, but she had with her a map of the whole complex.

Eight had run ahead while Sev and Cap'n Cuttlefish waited for Agent 3 to regain consciousness. The climb was hard as there were lots of traps and sanitized enemies in her way, but she managed to find an elevator that would take her to the surface.

Pearl and Marina promised to come and get them with helicopter so all that was left were to wait for the other to catch up. Soon she realised that they were already her and that not everything were right.

Sev and Cap'n Cuttlefish were tied up and Agent 3 had some green ooze on her right side. The moment she saw them, Cap'n Cuttlefish shouted that Agent 3 was under mind control before Agent 3 attacked. Eight had to use all of her ability to the limited, but she managed to shot of the green ooze from Agent 3 head.

After they took the elevator the found a ladder that now led to a cover and when Eight opened it, she knew that the hade reached the surface. The wind, the sky, the sun on the horizon and the big city, all of it fascinated her. Tears began to fall from her face. She could not believe that something like this could have existed over her head all this time. Her brother shared her fascination.

Soon they heard helicopters and the Off the hook had arrived to pick them up. As they lifted of, she looked down at the platform, ignoring the rap battle between Pearl and Cap'n Cuttlefish. She thought at one point down there that she would never escape and would properly be turned into one of the sanitized octolings, but here she is. Free from that hell, free from octo valley, free for the first time in her life.

"It feels good to be free" said she, but soon she realised that she had spoken to soon. The platform began to rise from the water and human head became visible. Pearl and Cap'n Cuttlefish had stop there rap battle, much to Sev's displeasure as he enjoyed watching and listening to their rapping, but forgot is displeasure when he saw the head.

Inside of the head's right eye sat the telephone, covered in the same green ooze as Agent 3 had stuck to her head. "TARTAR is da house." It said before it continued. "I am TARTAR, an AI construct created 12,000 years ago by a brilliant professor."

It continued telling them that its main purpose was to pass on the knowledge of the humanity to the next worthy lifeform, but it had dimed us unworthy. It had decided to destroy the world and created a new lifeform, worthy of the humanity's knowledge.

Eight looked around and saw all of her friends and ally. She saw the sky, the ocean and lastly the big city. She turned back to the human statue and Tartar. "I will not let that thing destroy this world and all in it" said she with threatening tune.

"That is good to her, because we do have a plan to stop it" comment Marina. "So everyone listen now"

"You did it Pearl!" Shouted Marina before she tackle Pearl to the ground and start kissing her all over her face. "Marina, stop it people will see" said Pearl while she half-hearted try wiggle out of the hug and all the kisses.

While Marina hug and kisses Pearl, had Agent 3 began to stir. "My head. What is happening now?" she looked around and was little shocked to see the destroyed human statue. Eight sat on her knees and looked at Agent 3 and thought that she looked a little cute with the confused expiration.

"I will tell you everything" said Cap'n Cuttlefish "But let me intrudes too you your new recruit, Agent 8" Agent 3 blinked, looking between Eight and Cap'n Cuttlefish. "It is a long story" said Eight as she offered her hand to help Agent 3 up.

Agent 3 took the hand and got up. Now was everyone looking at the big city, Inkopolis, the Promised Land. Eight thought to herself that it would be both scare and exciting to learn and live in Inkopolis, but she believed that she could do it together with those friends and ally that she has now.
