________________________________It was once said that the moment you meet the love of your life, time stops. And it's true.
Kim was only a little surprised that she felt this all over again, she had already met Edward before. And it was many years ago. She had experienced this before.
Not only that, but Kim was a wife and a mother, she has been for several years now. She thought with it came the many effects it had on her, that her passions for anyone had cooled with age.
But as she sat there in the grass, watching the man before her, she felt her heart grow warmer, and her face. Her eyes widened with a joy rising inside. She smiled even more. She felt that she was witnessing what she had felt all those years ago when she first looked at Edward with adoration.
Edwards back was still turned to her, not noticing her presence yet. But Kim couldn't look away. She was frozen in place, peering over the bushes, not daring to take her eyes off of him.
Then, as Kim regained some of her senses, her nerves arose again, she began to think of what to do now.
'How do you talk to someone you love but haven't seen them in years? What should I say? How do I approach him? Does he even want to see me?'
Her thoughts were swimming in her head. As Edward kept snipping away at the hedges, she kept watching as she continued thinking.
Kim knew she didn't come up here for no reason, she came to see Edward. She knew she couldn't avoid it just because she was scared. She couldn't hide there forever. She had to see him this once, all she wanted in these moments with him was for it to be special. She wanted Edward, and she wanted him to feel loved, because she did loved him. She does.
Kim knew she had to say something, before she became to scared to do anything. But, God, what words could she say to make up all of the lost time?
So, forcing herself to push forward, Kim got up on her feet from her bed of grass. Steadying herself from dizziness of getting up.
She got a better view of Edward now, noticing that the blades that stood for his fingers seemed longer than what she remembered, his hair more wilder. He even seemed a little more pale too. But beside all of that, he was just as Kim remembered.
Kim thought it was ridiculous that she was scared, she shouldn't be afraid of him. She already told herself this. She knew Edward would never do anything to hurt her. She could talk to him, and he listened; he didn't judge anyone, and he admired what a person had to say. That's more than anybody could ever do.
So why was she still being quiet?
'Damn it, just say something!'
Without thinking further, she called out.
"Edward?"
Kim's stomach dropped all over again, an uncomfortable heat rose, she thought she was gonna pass out. She actually did it.
