Kendall showed me other areas of Palm Woods that I haven't seen yet. There was a doctors office around the corner of the lobby, which is a necessity because there's so many people living here. He even showed me his apartment that he shared with his friends, mom and sister.

"The twisty slide was mostly Carlos' idea. I'm pretty sure he's still stuck at the age of ten." Kendall laughed as he pointed towards the huge yellow slide in front of us. My eyes widened and I walked towards it.

"How did you—"

Kendall was beside me. My mouth was wide open as I admired his apartment. This wasn't no ordinary apartment room, and it wasn't even like mine. This apartment had a flat screen tv, a huge orange sectional couch, and some arcade games sitting around.

"Gustavo and Griffin didn't approve of this at first." My head whipped towards Kendall. "You know Gustavo?" I spat out, resting my left hand on the side of the slide. "Yeah, me and the guys work with him. We're—"

"Big Time Rush." I breathed out, keeping myself calm. Those were the guys I heard singing just hours ago. Kendall's hand was snapping in front of me, trying to regain my focus.

"Wait, do you work with Gustavo too? I mean like, do you sing?" Kendall asked. He was scratching his forearm in a form of nervousness. I thought that was kinda cute.

"Yeah, I just moved here yesterday and not too long ago, I left the studio." I said, acting nervous as well.

"I didn't think that a girl like you would work with Gustavo. He's...a tiny bit mean."

I looked at Kendall with a disapproving look on my face. I brought my arms down to my hips and cocked my head to the side. "A tiny bit? He yelled at me for arriving five minutes late. He needs to tone down his temper before I lose it on him." I spat out. A shocked look spread across Kendall's face, which surprised me.

"I didn't mean to go all feisty on you. When people get on my nerves, I tend to lose my temper. Like Gustavo, for instance." I explained so that he wasn't confused as to why I was acting like that for a split second.

"Ah, so you're one of those short tempered girls that when someone gets on your bad side, you want to rip their head off? Gotcha." I nodded at how accurate Kendall was. It's like he knew exactly how I was.

Although it may seem like I'm a normal sixteen year old girl with a passion of singing and soccer, I have a different side of me that really no one has seen before. My temper came from my dad. He always fought with anyone who did him wrong, whether it was me, my mom or one of his friends. He came home one night, drunk out of his mind and started screaming at the top of his lungs at me and my mom. Of course, this was a normal thing that happened every weekend, but that one night, I never forgot those seven words he said to me.

"Stay the hell out of my life."

That's how I developed my short temper. And I'll never forget how my dad turned out to be that night.

Kendall and I hung out for the rest of the day. He told me how he's also from Minnesota and played on a hockey team with Carlos, Logan and James. I thought it was interesting that we both had a passion for sports and singing, which sparked our friendship even more. Kendall mentioned that he's been at Palm Woods for about a week before I showed up.

"So James was the one that wanted a singing career?" I asked, kicking my legs up on the lawn chair by the pool. "Well, not exactly. We all went to the auditions and tried out, but when Gustavo wanted me to come here, I told him it was either all of us, or none of us. So here we are." He spread his arms wide, a huge smile on his face.

Kendall isn't like all the other guys back home in Minnesota. He wasn't a cocky, rude guy that wanted to get in girls pants all the time, he was a sweet, caring guy who wanted to make friends with anyone. Even though we're both from Minnesota, we were from different cities, which explains the simple fact that I've never seen him at all when we lived there.

Maybe living in Palm Woods won't be bad at all, knowing I already made friends with four guys and two girls in less than two days.
