Gran left late last night so, I had time to rush up to my room and be asleep by the time my dad had time to react.

I know today I will not be able to hide though. Dad will not be home from work till about ten thirty. He starts his overtime, which means I have to find community service or something to do, while he is at work.

Maybe I could sign up to help at the old-folks home. I am not sure, I need to figure it out.

After laying in bed and thinking for a while I get up, I woke up to early and could not go back to sleep cause my nerves are shot from fear of my father.

I take a quick shower and get dressed, today I go with simple dark blue jeans, long sleeve and my converse. I get dressed and brush my hair and teeth. When. I finish getting ready I go down stairs to fix breakfast.

It took me longer then I thought to get down the stairs, I guess because I was so scared/nervous that my feet wouldn't comprehend to walk till I heard dad's bedroom door open. At that moment I dashed down stairs and started cooking.

I made sure to make everything perfect this morning. I sat the table and put his coffee and news paper at his seat.

About ten minutes before the bus got here, I heard dad's heavy stomps cascade down the stairs.

I immediately stood straighter and clenched my jaw when I smelt his sent enter the kitchen.

"Good morning, Dad." I said while slowly turning toward him. He didn't say anything back he just 'tsked'.

I know bothering him is the last thing I want to do, but I need to know what he wants me to do while he is at over time. "Dad?" I say very shakily.

"What?" He replies harshly. "I-i was just wondering if I needed to sign up for something while you have over time." I say scaredly.

"I don't care what you do, but you better figure out something, cause' I'm not gonna' have any daughter of mine running around the house and trying to sneak boys in when I'm not here." He said while getting his coffee.

"Yes sir." I say because I can't think of anything else. I didn't have to stand there dumbfounded for long, because the bus pulled up and I was out of the kitchen in a flash.

When I got on the bus I took a seat in the very front and started to look out the window. The bus ride was boring like always until, I felt someone sit down next to me. Shocked because no one ever sits with me I slowly turned my head.

In the seat next to me was this really pretty girl. She had red hair that went down to her mid back, and brown eyes. When she turned her head to me and smiled I seen her straight white teeth and the little bit of freckles she had.

"I'm Grace." She said sticking her hand out for me, I jumped slightly not meaning to but on reflex, I don't think she noticed though.
