"Kenzie, wake up!" I feel Jaylyn shaking me vigorously.
"Why the hell are you waking me up? It's Saturday!" I find the strength to yell at her.
"Mom said you must wake up. Don't shoot the messenger." My little sister says and quickly leaves my room.
I stare at the ceiling before sitting up and giving a big yawn, then standing up and stretching. I make up my bed, then I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I then angrily go downstairs to the kitchen to see why it is so important that I wake up.
"Morning sunshine." My mom gives me a toothy grin, which I returned with a devilish stare.
"Don't be so grumpy, miss grumpy pants. I just got some good news. You can just have some breakfast while I tell you." She says extremely happy once again.
My dad just lets out a little chuckle and an eye roll. What a crazy woman he married.
I walk over to the dining room table which has eggs and bacon with toast, and juice and water for drinking, and yogurt for after we eat. While starting to munch on my breakfast, my mom takes a seat and smiles even wider than before. This is creepy. It's like I'm watching the movie Truth Or Dare.
"You know how I found out the gender result of the twins the other day?" She says sliding her pointer finger across the table. "Well I'm happy to announce that we are having a girl...and a boy."
Complete silence was all that was left. I just couldn't believe that she said that. That after wishing for a baby brother, we're finally getting it. I know that one of the babies is a girl, but I still appreciate one brother. It's all I ever wished for.
After finishing my breakfast, I go upstairs to get ready. Showering brings back the memories of Alex and I in the shower. I miss that. After showering and getting into proper clothing, I decided to call Alex and see what he's up to.
"Hey gorgeous." He quickly picks up the phone.
"Wow that was fast. Miss me already?" I reply with a little giggle.
"Of course. How can't I?" He says.
The way he makes me happy is insane. As clichè as it may sound, I love him so much, even though we haven't even hung out a lot.
"Whatever. How are you doing though?" I change the subject.
"I'm good, why?" He questions.
"I'm just asking. Can't I just ask you a ques-" I try to say before my mom calls me.
"Listen I have to go, my moms calling me." I say to him.
"Sure babe, I love you." He sweetly says.
"I love you too." I reply with a warm heart.
Before I could say anything else, I hear my mom call my name from the kitchen even louder. Am I in trouble or something?
I rush downstairs to see what my mom was calling me for. I see her sitting in the kitchen chair then she looks straight up at me.
"Take a seat honey." My mom says while still looking at me.
I had an uneasy feeling about this. I had no idea what she was going to say, but I didn't have the best feeling.
I sit down glaring at her, trying to figure out what was going on. But obviously, I couldn't do it, I'm not superhuman.
"So. A little mouse told me that somebody has a boyfriend." She says with a smirk on her face.
My fucking sisters! Of course, I can't trust them with anything in my life.
"Mom..." I say clenching my teeth.
