I could not struggle any more to figure out this new life style. It was hard enough to tie my hair back in a pony tail or even the straps of my swim suit.
My dad was starting to train me again, getting my one arm strong enough for surfing and all of my other muscles too. Although I hadn't been in the water yet. But I had a date in mind.
I walked outside to where my dad had different sizes of surf boards stuck in the sand. "Alright so we need you to start here and get up to here." My dad explained while showing me the right sized surf boards. "But first I have to get in the water." I reminded him. "Right!" He remembered. "And will that be um today?" He asked hesitantly. "Hm, I don't know. But I have a date in mind." I said shrugging my shoulders and walking back into the house.
**thanksgiving eve**
My family was waiting for me to finish cooking breakfast, or at least to try and cook breakfast. "Come on, hurry up." Noah complained. "Alright alright!" I exclaimed. I balanced the plate of pancakes on my arm and carried pitcher of water in between my fingers. "Ta da!" I smiled, while carefully setting down the food. "Mmm looks really good." Noah commented. I nodded "thanks." I said taking my seat. "Well you know tomorrow is thanksgiving. Right?" Timmy said while taking his first bite of pancake. "Yes, but I just wanted to make a yummy breakfast for my loving family, that has been through so much." I said taking a sip of my water. "Which brings me to the conclusion of telling you guys that I'm planning on going into the water today." I added. Their silence filled the air with laughter and surprisement.
"Your kidding?" My mom smiled. "No, I really want to!" I said. "That's great honey. Let's eat and then get in the water." My dad smiled.
