Crash Course

Disclaimer: I do not own any pictures and although, most of these characters do not belong to me but to the Netflix series lost in space, however some are mine and the story is a mix of story line and what I create so enjoy :)

The world its fleeting, the earth is no longer the same as historys pictures now it only has brown skies, littered ocean and terrible air.

Which is why Lexi's brother Don West was leaving her on this dying planet and going to be a mechanic on the resolute.

"Can I please go with you Donnie? I lost momma and daddy and now your leaving." Lexi said through soft sobs.

Don turned from the door and looked down on her, his face softened "You can't come with me, but It will be okay Lex your not losing me I am just going on trips you will learn not to miss me that much with time and plus who would miss a guy like me anyway?" He said with a tiny sad smile

Lexi rushed towards Don and buried her face in his shirt and punched his arm softly, "I will miss you no matter what and I will find a way to join you just you wait." Lexi said proudly

They smiled at eachother and Don kissed her on the forehead goodbye, before he shut the door and left his only family that he loved, Dom smiled and said "I love you kiddo."

Lexi looked out the window somberly as she remembered the last encounter with her big brother,

Ever since he left she had been working endless to get a seat to Alpha Centari and off earth, normally it might have been alittle easier to get in but she did something teens her age would never dare.

Lexi knew the likly hood of her making it was impossible but she passed the test...

The hardest test given to make trip, called the Executive test, it requires you knowing everything from medical, engineering, science, to even Geology and somehow she passed the test most forty year olds don't even dare to take.

Lexi was ecstatic a new life and even better a free seat for Don. So they could finally be a family again.

Lexi for the first time in her life in a long time was excited for the new adventure ahead it could be filled with excitement, new life, and she could even find love.

So many new possibilities.

"Come this way Ms. West." Said Captain Griffin as they made there way through the twisty ship that she only imagined in her dreams, The Resolute.

Finally they reached the door and went and sat down at the table.

"Its not to often we are lucky enough to get a executive passenger especially so young.
Are you sure this is who you want to take with you?" He said studying her like a puzzle needed to be craked

"Yes I am sure he is my brother, I want him to go with me." Lexi said with a smile.

However, before he could say another word a young soldier walked in and pulled the Captain aside, he tried to whisper but a elephant could even hear them,

"There is a women, her name is June Harris she was pretending to be someone else and in the process of being caught she killed one of our men! The guard hushed.

The captain was horrified but nodded like his head was made full of mud, he slowly walked back to Lexi, "I got matters to attend to I will assign you and your brother a pod later." He said with a resigned look.

All she did was nod and the men left the room.

How could someone do that And even kill a innocent? She thought but the more she did the more it made her stomach churn and feel sick to her stomach.

Time passed as did her thoughts, when a loud bang filled the outside hallway then the screams which sounded deafening

There could be injuried people out there Lexi thought, so she ran outside into the hall.

She looked around chaos filled the hall, blood, death and at the end of the mass traveling fast was a robot with lights like fire.

Fear its a terrible thing thats what is filling Lexi, you can either run or fight, she looked down at the bodies and the children crying.

All Lexi could think of is Don,
how even though he acted like he didnt care, Don would help anyone he could and now thats what she can do.

She started at work dragging kids and adults one by one under the murderous robots eye while he shot blasts around the hall, Lexi was careful not to get caught and after several painful trips of back and forth trips while being shot at by the robot.

One shot even coming in contact with her leg but Lexi held her voice and kept going and finally.

The hall fell slient, she never thought she would be so relieved for stillness.

The resolute was in tatters, torn and ripped by the attack from the robot. There was so many wounded and even more dead.

The only good news was some escaped on the pods.

Lexi after tiring hours of work fixing some parts of the ship that was destroyed and taking care of the injured.

Finally, she went to the control center where she could ask about her brother, she was worried that Don could be hurt or killed.

"Captain Griffin where is my brother?" Lexi asked while he stared out into space

He scoffed and turned around to look at her with resentment in his eyes, "I wish I knew, your brother Don West, deserted! He left the ship only meant for families. Your Brother Don is a traitor!

Lexi felt her world crash around her, she was left again and away from her brother.

She looked up at the captain all her emotions at a high, and said the one thing on her mind "No matter what happened Don is no traitor! Not to me."

Why did you do this Don, you left me again.. Lexi thought tears pricking her eyes.
