It didn't take much time to finish our homework. Luckily we didn't have much. Niall and Gemma got in not too long after we finished around 5:00 and around 5:30 mum called us down for dinner. Dinner was good. Everyone seemed to have a great day. It was really nice having a good dinner and enjoying each others company. We finished eating and mum went to clean up the table.

"Hey, I got the dishes tonight mum." I said taking the dirty plate from her hand.

"Okay, if you insist haz. Thank you." She said with a sweet smile.

"Let me help you with those mate." Niall offered as he followed me in The kitchen with an arm full of the rest of the dishes I had left.

"I'll wash you dry?" I suggested.

"Sure thing." He agreed.

I started running the warm water to rinse the dishes off before I washed them.

"Your mum is such a good cook. I could eat it forever and never get tired of it." He complemented.

"Yeah, I don't think I've came across anyone better." I said smiling. "Doesn't your mum cook?" I questioned

"My mum passed away when I was about six... I don't really remember her all that well." He said with a fallen expression.

"Oh I'm sorry mate I didn't know or I wouldn't have asked." I said feeling like an inconsiderate piece of trash.

"It's not your fault. Don't beat yourself up." He said trying to make me feel less bad.

"I'm so sorry." I said still apologizing.

"But anyway after she passed away, my dad turned into a depressed mess and left and never came back. So I moved in with my aunt and uncle in London."

"Man that's rough. I couldn't imagine." I said feeling sorry for the lad.

"It's okay, maybe it made me a better person. I definitely don't take things for granted anymore and I'm far less selfish than most kids in uni." He said with a slight smile on his face. Maybe that's why he was so thankful when I told him to share a bed with me instead of sleeping on the floor the first night.

"Hey! You guys left me in a big pool of girl in there." Liam complained as he entered the kitchen.

"Sorry mate." I chuckled lightly. "Come grab a towel and help us out and when we're done we can go play Mario cart up in my room."

"Okay, but it's really rude to make company do chores." Liam joked.

"You heard mum. You're not considered company anymore." I said and Niall laughed at my joke. He has such a beautiful laugh. I could listen to it all day.

We finished the dishes and we grabbed a soda out of the fridge and headed up stairs. All I can tell you is that Niall is a true gamer. Even though the races were a close call between the three of us Niall won almost every single time.

"Man you guys suck!" Niall boasted.

"Okay." I said with a laugh. "How about if I win this time around, you have to buy the first round tomorrow night at the bar?"

"Okay. Deal." And he shook my hand. It was a really close race, but Liam being the great friend he is helped me out by throwing things at Niall's car and blocking him so he couldn't get around me.

"Hey no fair!" Niall yelled laughing.

"What do you mean?" I said as I crossed the finish line.

"I call cheating!" He joked.

"Hey we were just playing a game mate. A deal's a deal" I laughed.

"Okay, but if I'm buying a round, we're gonna do karaoke again." He said with a smile.
