Chapter 11: Wounded

Sorry I was gone for awhile. I had no motivation and I had writing block. Also, Happy Late Valentines day! And, sorry if it's a bit short! (ーー;)

Sero's POV:

I was so numb and a lot of pain was shooting from my back. I heard people talking, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. All I remember is those words "This should be quick." and why someone did that. I force myself to slowly rise from the...bed? I rub my eyes, and I open them, analyzing my surroundings. I'm in a hospital. In a hospital bed. How long has it been? Why does my back hurt? Who hurt me? Where is Mineta? Then the door of my room opens. It was Denki. "Dude, you're awake!" He says, running over to my bed. "Can anyone explain-" I was interrupted by him. "Are you alright? Nauseous at all?" He says quickly. "Where is Mineta?" I say. "He- he's coming don't worry-" I cut him off. "Where was he? Who attacked me?" I ask frantically. "He has been taken away by the villains." Aizawa answered walking in. "You were, uh, attacked by Dabi, according to the burn marks on your back." Denki explained.

"We need to go save him! My quirk still works, I should be fine." I say while getting up from the bed, a little wobbly. "Hey, calm down, we're trying to locate him now so don't-" I cut off Aizawa by leaving the room. I'm too worried about my boyfriend. "Sero, you need rest!" Denki exclaimed. Once I walked out of there, my back felt really cramped, and I stopped and gasped for air. The two calmed me down and Denki went off to get me a energy bar and water. "I'm sure they retrieve Mineta as soon as possible. But try not to move as much, though. You'll only hurt worse." Aizawa reassured. I sat back down and ate the energy bar Denki got from a vending machine. "You wanna talk about it?" He asked. "The only thing I can do." I shrugged. "I wonder why Dabi wanted to attack you. Why not anyone else?" He pondered. "I'm weaker than the rest of you guys. It's better that he didn't attack anyone else." I say gloomily. "Do you like-" I cut Denki off. Again. "Yes I do. Was it too obvious?" I chuckle.

"Pretty much. And attacked right before the dance. Way to rain on the parade." He said. "Who did Aizawa send to get Mineta?" I questioned. "Mina, Shoji, and Iida." He responded. "I don't want to put anyone's lives in danger because of me! It's not Mineta's fault! I need to be more vigilant..." I say, lowering my head in shame. It's my fault. Everyone needs to be mad at me, not Mineta. I was the one who fucked up. The scars on my back proves it all. Before I knew it, tears start to fill around my eyelids. Denki tries reassuring me, telling me it's not your fault and everything will be fine crap. I'm just...so pissed off. I got so pissed, I straight up got up from the hospital bed, snatched up my clothes and walked out of the room, ignoring everything and everyone. I walked to the bathrooms and changed into my clothes. I turn over to mirror. I was a mess. There was dark circles under my eyes, my hair was unkempt, my back hurts, and I was drained. I lean on the bathroom wall, and break into a crying disaster. I cried so much, I felt a bit dehydrated from all the water that poured from my eyes.

I wanted Mineta so badly. I regret anything terrible I ever did say to him, and want to punch the shit out of anyone who hurt him mentally or physically. I loved him back so much, it is so difficult to be away from him. His name echos in my head. Mineta. Mineta. Mineta. I heard knocking on the door, but I wasn't bothered to open it. They must be doctors. They pounded on the door, demanding me to get out. And thank the skies above, there was a window. The first thing I did was open it and debate how high up I was. I was high enough. I could escape and find where Mineta was...there. It was one of the forests farther away from the UA, but I could make it. Doctors and I think Aizawa were ready to break in, so I jumped down from the hospital and shot a strand of tape at a nearby building, and swung myself to another. I realized I didn't have my hero suit, but I didn't need it. The only thing I need. Is Mineta.
