***Elik's POV***
The last few months have flown by. We ended up going to New York to fulfill our promise for a shopping trip. The girls were much more satisfied with the stores in Manhattan than Honolulu. I didn't blame them.
Dek took to college as well as we expected. He complained about the courses the whole time. However, he excelled with perfect grades so far. Now all seven of them are preparing for their first set of college finals. Dek is a little stressed. They all are.
I have Ana on watch. She keeps them full of food and caffeine. When I get home I relieve Ana for the night. I make sure they bathe and sleep. I remember my first year of college. This was going to be a week of hell.
It wasn't until Thursday that things took a shocking turn in a direction no one would see coming.
We are eating dinner around the family dining table. My parents came by to show moral support for all the hard work and dedication it takes to get through college. They understand the sacrifice. My parents had been thru it with me already.
Dek has two exams scheduled for the morning. One was on campus and the other on line. He had completed the other four exams already. He is checking his laptop in the living room when his voice breaks through the air.
"You have got to to be fucking kidding me. Burn in hell. Damn you to Satan's lair you stupid cunt. I hope your children have three eyes. Mother fucker." Dek stomped through the living room and tossed everything in his way out of sight.
"I will burn the school down. I will burn your car. I'm not playing. You messed with the wrong one you cock sucker." The rant continued as all of us stared completely shocked.
"Um, Elik, this is the part where you calm down your man." Broady joked.
"Nah, I'm gonna let Dad take care of this." I passed the proverbial baton.
"Dek, What is it dear?" My mom cautiously enters the living room and begins picking things up as more are being thrown to the floor.
"Do you know what's wrong?" Dek huffs, his foot stomping and his hands on his hips.
"No, I will tell you what is wrong." Dek throws his hands into the air, they land with an audible thud on top of his head.
"I studied. I did every fucking quiz. I did all the damn guides. Every piece of homework. I busted my ass for that man. And, do you know how he repays me?" Dek spits the words like acid on his tongue.
"No." Zaya hides the giggles under her fingers.
"He sends me a God Damn email saying I exempt the mother fucking exam. That he forgot to let me know. I wasted a week studying for my Calculus and Analytics exam." Dek blows his gasket.
His hands are trembling and he is drinking at this point. The brandy slides down the neck of the carafe and lands in the small tumbler. Seconds later the glass is slammed back and he is refilling it.
I really wanted to laugh. Like, really really. He was over reacting. But, as I love the feel of his firm ass rocking in my lap, I was not laughing.
"Baby, he made a mistake." My mom coos and I cringe.
"Dek, pour me a drink. We will toast to that asshole professor." My Dad finally steps in eliciting a smile of vindication from Dek.
Dek hands Dad a drink and mom throws me a knowing look. This will not end well.
"Honey, we are gonna need a spare room." Mom laughs.
"You guys take ours and we will take the theater room." I ease my mom's worries.
"I have never seen Dek like that." Cherry cracks up laughing.
