***Dek's POV***
"No. Please don't do this. I can't. I'm begging you." Elik drags me by my arms while I hold on to the bed for dear life.
"Baby. You're being ridiculous." Elik stops dragging me and looks at me with consternation.
"No. I'm not. I'm being safe. You don't want me to die on our honeymoon?" I whine.
"Die? Are you shitting me right now, baby? You? You're the one that took us up in a helicopter. We swam with dolphins. Wild dolphins. In an ocean. Where sharks live. We hiked trails with live volcanoes surrounding us." Elik points his finger at me.
"Whose brilliant idea was this?" I put my hands on my hips looking at my stunning husband questioningly.
"That's not the point. We are going. Get your ass dressed. Please." Elik starts begging.
"Fine. But, if I die. Well, I'm coming back to haunt you." I snatch my boxers off of the floor and stomp towards the bathroom.
"I love you, baby." Elik yells out with a chuckle.
"What's love got to do with it?" I push the door closed and start getting the shower ready.
I pout the entire drive. When Elik tries to get me to smile, I stubbornly give him my most evil eye.
"Are you going to be mad at me all day?" Elik plays with my hair and tries to get me to look at him.
"Nope!" I pop the p.
"Good. I love you. I don't want you to be upset with me." Elik leans in for a kiss and ends up with his face in the leather seat.
"I can't be mad if I'm dead, now can I?" I bark back at him.
"Knowing you? Absolutely." Elik rolls his eyes and turns his face towards the window.
The driver stops the truck and Elik gets out. He leaves the door open for me and I follow him, warily.
We approach the building and my hands start to tremble. My skin crawls and I feel like wind is rushing through my ear drums.
Elik grabs my hand but, I attach myself to his bicep and hide my face in his shoulder.
"Come on sweetheart. It's going to be okay. There is nothing to be afraid of." Elik runs his fingers through my hair soothingly.
"Easy for you to say." I growl out.
"You promised you would try. Just attempt it for me." Elik whispers.
"I'm here aren't I?" I say loudly.
"Yes, you are. Thank you for that. But, just relax." Elik turns to me and grabs my face, kissing me gently.
I nod into his kiss.
"Don't let me go. You have to protect me." I warn my god of a man.
"I promised I wouldn't let anything happen to you. I'm promising you. Baby, there is nothing to worry about." Elik gently nudges me with his shoulder. His hand covers mine and he pulls me along with him, albeit slowly.
We stand in front of the clerk and Elik pulls out his debit card.
"Two." He holds up his fingers. "But, we are just going to go together."
