Promise

Chapter Two

It was almost 7 in the evening, the guards were roaming around the campus. Suddenly, they saw someone on the ground. They went near her and saw Duchess laying.

"Miss, are you okay?" one guard said while gently tapped her face.
"Hmm." Duchess said as she slowly opened her eyes.
"Miss, are you okay?" other guard said.

Duchess slowly stood up and nodded.

"Yes, Sir. I'm fine. Thank you." she said and walked away.

She almost fell on the ground while walking towards her house. Her body and face were full of dirt even her uniform.

"I'm home..." She stopped and tears fell from her eyes.
"Dammit! Duchess they're not here... They will never be back." she said to herself while crying.

Duchess went directly to the bathroom and removed her clothes. She took a shower, after that she looked at herself in the mirror. Duchess' face had bruises and wounds. Even her arm, legs were full of bruises and wounds.

"Okay, Duchess. Calm down. Don't dare do anything stupid okay?!" she said to herself as she put ointment to her bruises and wounds. Then she decided to go to bed without having dinner.

The alarm rang at 6 in the morning, Duchess woke up and felt her body ached. She forced herself to stood up and took a shower. Seeing her face with bruises and wound, she put a plaster to the wound on her face. Her uniform was a long sleeves with black coat, a black knee socks, and a black skirt. It was perfect to cover her bruises all over her body. Duchess was about to leave when she saw herself in the mirror.

"I almost forgot..." She opened her drawer and took a small box. She then opened it and smiled.

"No one should know." she said and put on her black contact lenses and wore her glasses.

While walking towards her school, she heard someone calling her name.

"Duchess-sama! Duchess-sama!" a familiar voice yelled from her behind.
"Who are you again?" she asked when she saw the guy calling her.
"You didn't forget my name, did you?" the guy pouts and was about to cry.
"No... You're.... Levi.... Leviathan. Right?" she answered.

The guy flashed a sweet smile.

"I should go first. I don't want anyone sees me with you. They might misinterpret it." Levi said and walked pass her.
Duchess just nodded and continued walking but in slow pace.

'He's weird.' she thought.

Duchess went straight to her room and sat on her seat. There were only few students who were inside the room. She grabbed her phone and inserted her earphones. She then took a book and started reading.

Suddenly, she noticed someone was in front her. She looked in front her and saw a guy staring at her.

"Good morning Miss Duchess." the guy said.

Duchess stood up and bow to the guy.

"Good morning." she politely said.
"My name is Barbatus. Lord Diavolo, the President of Student Council wants to meet you. Please, follow me." he said and walks toward the door
"What?? W--Wait up." Duchess followed Barbatus outside.

"Where are you going? Why would he wanted me to meet him?" she asked but Barbatus didn't answer her.

'That's weird.' she just thought.

Barbatus stopped and knocked the door.

"Lord Diavolo, Miss Duchess is here." he said.

Duchess felt sudden nervousness when she heard a voice inside the room.
