A vibrating sensation in my pocket disturbed me from my current conversation with Luke about his lip ring. I slid my phone out and looked at the caller ID. Shit. "I gotta get this."i shooed Luke away' leaving me by myself in the kitchen.

"Emily where are you? Why aren't you back from college yet?!"My mothers voice screeched with disapproval.

"Mum I'm so sorry, I'm with Imogen and friends and I guess I just forgot about the time. I'll come home now" After a few minutes of her complaining and ranting about me staying out late, I finally ended the call.

I scanned the cabin looking for Imogen, only finding her to be tangled with Michael on the sofa, giggles escaping them every now and then. I felt that it would be rude to interrupt them, so I grabbed my bag and walked out of the cabin. The cold air hitting me instantly. The fire was now burned out, snow was delicately falling from the misty sky. It was peacefully quiet except from the soft music escaping from the cabin. I began to walk quick, attempting to warm myself up.

A heard a crunch of leaves behind me, i swiftly turned round to see Ashton slowly walking towards me. "Where are you going? It's freezing out here, you might get sick." He inched closer as the warm air flowed out of his mouth.
"Um, I need to go home. I was going to tell Imogen...but she was with Michael and I didn't want to interrupt."I looked down at my now muddy and wet converse, shrugging silently.

Ashton scoffed. "You really think you will make it home alive in this weather? I'm not letting you walk, it's too cold. I'll drive you." I hesitated at first, but I soon realised that he was right. Taking his offer he walked me towards his car, and opened the door for me. his actions catching me off guard. I mumbled a thanks, and after he got in he turned on the toasty heater and began to drive.

"Whereabouts?"he looked over and smiled at me softly.

"14 landscorner avenue."i faked a smile. I hated telling people my home address. I don't know why but I've always loathed doing it. The car journey was significantly quiet, well apart from Ashton's fingers tapping on the wheel In sync with the music that was playing. I couldn't help but realise how muscular and big his hands were.

"Do you play drums."i crossed my arms over my chest. He looked over quickly then returned his eyes to the icy road and nodded. "How'd you know? Did Imogen tell you?"
I looked down and nodded. I didn't want to admit that I was admiring his hands whilst he was driving.

I noticed that Wonderwall was now playing through the radio, I smiled to myself and slowly started to sing along in my head,My foot tapping along to the music. I closed my eyes and relaxed, this song always calmed me down. "I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me and after all your my wonderwall."I heard Ashton's voice sing along softly, I opened my eyes and looked at him. "Thanks for driving me." I breathed once I realised we were outside my house. "No problem Emily, are you hanging out with us tomorrow?"He glanced over.
"Um, yeah I think. I guess I'll see you tomorrow Ash" I smiled at him and unbuckled my seatbelt, and grabbed my bag that was beside my feet.
"Bye Em."his voice rasped. I smiled at him one last time before getting out of the car and walking towards my house. A car beep caught my attention so I turned around to see ashton staring at me with his window down. "I hope you have sweet dreams tonight Emily."he drove off, leaving me breathless once again.
