"Yes! I told you I am good at this game!", Tony Stark shouted happily. Steve Rogers just rolled his eyes but smiled.
The Avengers had decided to spend the evening with playing some car racing games, and, obviously, Steve always lost.A thunder let the air vibrate, and instantly silence filled the room.
"Do you think...", Bruce started his sentence and Clint completed it: "...it's Thor?"
Iron Man shrugged and answered: "It could just be a normal thunderstorm. We haven't seen him for weeks because he's in Asgard."
Natasha wanted to say something, but a second thunder, much closer, could be heard and through one of the large, opened windows Thor flew into the room.
"Thor, my friend!", Tony said and stood up, but he froze as he saw who was resting in the arms of the thunderer.Natasha jumped up and shouted furiously: "What is he doing here?!"
"Please, Miss Natasha, he's sleeping. You are going to wake him up!", was Thor's answer and before the woman could continue shouting at the God Tony noticed the little puddle of blood forming where Thor stood.
"Whose blood is that?", he calmly asked.
Thor looked at the "man of iron" and a slight bit of fear could be seen on the face of the Asgardian. "He needs your help. My task was to bring him back to Asgard because he somehow managed to escape, but he isn't in a very good condition. Please, you need to help him! I don't know what to do."Since no one of the other Avengers seemed to answer Tony sighed and walked over to the two gods.
After taking a short look at the unconscious one he turned to the others and said: "I think we should bring him to our hospital wing. He really doesn't look that good."So Thor followed Tony and Bruce with his weakened brother on his arms. After a while they reached a room full of medical supplies. In the center of the room was a hospital bed, and Thor laid Loki down on it.
Then Bruce started his work. He cut open the tunic Loki was wearing and started to sterilize the numerous wounds on the upper body of the black haired man.
After sewing up the larger wounds Bruce stopped for a moment and looked at the skinny body next to him.
"He's extremely malnutritioned", he stated and walked across the room to get an IV.Some time later the God was stable again and Bruce and Tony decided to go to bed.
Thor, now alone with his brother, walked over to the younger one and gently touched his cheek. It was extremely hot, surely he had a fever. Sighing the thunderer sat down on the bed and looked at the closed eyes of the black haired God.
A shiver let the sleeping one shake and he turned to his side and pulled his knees up to his chest. 'He must be cold', the older man thought and decided to search for a blanket. The living room was now empty, and the clock on the wall showed that it was already past midnight.
Finally he found a thin blanket on the couch and picked it up. It wouldn't help that much, but it was better than nothing.
With the black blanket in this hands the thunderer walked back to the hall, down to the elevator.
All the time he was in thoughts, wondering what had happened to his brother. But as soon as he arrived at the healing room that question became unimportant.Because Loki's bed was empty.
