Ticci Toby's POV
When I woke from a hellish nightmare, I froze. All I really remember was a forest fire sparking but, in the very back of my mind, I knew something wasn't right. Surely the blood stained glass on the cold concrete meant something more.
All to soon, I was ripped out of my thoughts by the unsettling sound of my neck cracking due to my tics. Worried I sat up from my laying position, carefully observing where I was. Suddenly a scream was heard from the farthest wall across the room, I glanced around more seeing contents of the room. Left from a door stood a tall dresser, to the left of that on the same wall, was another door slightly propped open revealing a bathroom. On the opposing wall three large windows leave me to gaze at the endless surrounding forest and, from the looks of it, I was on the fifth floor of a dark oak mansion.
Strange.
I walked across the area rug that consumed majority of the hardwood floor to the dresser. Five empty drawers and a sixth held two hatchets, a nice pair of orange tinted goggles, a belt with specially made holsters, and a mouth guard with light grey strips.
Carefully placing the hatchets in the belt, I strapped it on along with the goggles and mouth guard. They were a perfect fit but something just felt off, maybe it's just my tics.
Not long after I've snooped the whole room out I heard footsteps coming closer to the door, out of panic I hid in the bathroom with my hands tightly gripping my neck to prevent any loud cracks. That's when I heard it the familiar static but this time it was accommodated with an uneasy laughter. The words 'I'm going to die' ran a marathon in my head as I tried my best to contain myself and not draw the action of the two beings in the main bedroom.
I may be lost, but I'd rather be lost instead of dead.
