Chapter 6: Meeting the guards and tradegy

Dawn's pov.

Waking up the bed was empty as I rub my eyes and I am still in Uncle Rowan's bed. Sitting up I cry out as the door bust open and 5 strange men come inside. Starting at them I slowly stand up grabbing the crutches as Uncle Rowan walks into the room.

"Easy there Dawn. These guys that you see in the room work for me and are here to provide protection. They are to be by your side at all times. Boys please introduce yourselves." Uncle Rowan says as I hold up my hand to them.

"Can I use the bathroom first please. Daddy Rowan go get my mom please." I say as I walk slowly to Uncle Rowan's bathroom closing the door behind me.

Sitting on the toilet mom comes in with a tampon and a white dress as she hands it to me. Changing mom helps me as I wash my hands and walk out of the room. Sitting on uncle Rowan's bed I look up at the 5 gentlemen.

"I am Butch and this is my brother Diesel. We are the oldest at 24 years old and do not worry Dawn. Nothing will be able to harm you with us around." Butch says as I nod and they both step back.

"I am Blade and I am 22." Blade says smiling at me as I smile back and nod at him as he steps back.

"I am Ace and I am 21." Ace says as he winks at me and I blush turning away as Uncle Rowan clears his throat and I giggle.

"Save the best for the last of course. I am Ryder and I am 18 years old beautiful." Ryder says as I laugh even harder and Uncle Rowan rolls his eyes as Eric comes in.

"Okay love time for you to get food in your system. The guys are out cleaning the tree house. Grand dad is coming in two hours and dad wants to talk to all of us."  Eric says as I nod and slowly stand up as Uncle Rowan hands me my crutches.

Slowly walking out side of the room and to the stairs Uncle Rowan and Eric gets in front of me helping me down slowly. Ace, Blade, Butch, Diesel, and Ryder stand behind me as I become unbalanced and Ace grabs on to me softly. Finally making it down the stairs I smile at Ace as he nods and I make my way to the couch.

"Okay now that you are all here I have something I need to talk with you all." Dad says as it was just me, Eric, Bruce, Max, Trevor, and Scott sitting on the couch.

"What's wrong dad?" Trevor asks dad as I turn to look at dad and he has a guilty expression on his face.

"I have talked to mom and she is accepting of what we are about to talk about but it stays in this room okay. I as well are your brothers, cousins, and uncles are apart of the top most feared gang in this country. We want all of you to join the gang with us for protection. Those five men work for us and are to be with Dawn at all times. They are her body guards now." Dad says as I am just as shocked as my brothers are.

"Why did you fucking wait until Dawn got shot to tell us this?!" Trevor yells loudly causing me to flinch and look down.

"Trevor. Dawn is in the room." Eric says as Trevor comes over to me and hugs me softly apologizing softly to me.

"This whole time you could have kept me safe. Stopped Daniel and stopped his dad. Now his brother is after me and you waited and lied to me. You promised to keep me safe." I say as tears fall from my eyes and everyone comes back into the room including an older man I haven't meet.

"Dawn I am so sorry." Henry says as he has tears falling from his eyes and kneeling in front of me as I stand up.

"Your sorry!!! I have been through fucking hell because of Daniel and his family. You could have had them help us along time ago. Daniel was no one to mess with. I know things about him I have not told you all because I am fucking protecting you! That call he made at the gas station. Have you ever thought about how he got my number? Daniel is in a fucking gang too. I know the only way for me to be safe is dead." I say as tears flow and I walk out of the room without my crutches as Eric and James come after me and I walk into the tree house locking myself in my room.
