Chapter 13: Day with Brothers

Dawn's pov.

Sitting up my stomach growls even more as I smile at my brothers and walk into the bathroom closing the door behind me. Leaning against the counter top as I stare into the mirror at my own reflection. This pain in my body is too much for me but I still need to pretend for my family that I will be okay.

Being pulled out of my thoughts I hear a knock on the door and Bruce, Trevor, Scott, Max, and Eric walk into the bathroom as Eric closes the door once they are all inside. Sighing I sit on the toilet seat staring at the tile floor.

"Dawn talk to us." Scott says as I sniffle but still don't look up at them as my stomach rumbles again and Eric's face goes pale.

"Dawn when was the last time you took your medicine or ate?" Eric says frantically as he kneels in front of me and I shrug not remembering when I last ate or took my medicine.

"Fuck." Trevor says as him and Max leave the room and I can hear talking on the other side of the door.

Holding onto my stomach I fall into Eric's arms as I sniffle and Bruce picks me up carrying me out of the bathroom. Passing my brothers I see Eric and Scott following behind us closely. Laying my head in Bruce's chest he holds me tighter as we step onto the elevator.

Lifting up my head I see it was only Bruce, Scott, Eric, and myself on the elevator. Hearing a dinging sound I can hear voices as well as dad crying as I hide my face in Bruce's chest holding onto my stomach tighter as it growls louder.

Feeling myself being laid on the couch Bruce sits on the floor in front of me brushing my hair with his fingers. Relaxing I curl into a tight ball as my stomach still growls and I see Max and Trevor come over to me with a glass of water and my medicine in Max's hand.

"Hey let the medicine kick in okay baby just relax." Bruce says as tears fall down my face and he lifts his hand whipping them away with his thumb.

Trying to relax my body I close my eyes and think about everything that has happened lately. Daniel and the abuse from him, he being arrested and now his brother is after me, all the nightmares every time I go to sleep. Now I have to deal with my body aching if I don't take the medicine that I was prescribed. Sighing I take a deep breathe keeping my eyes shut as I drift off into a calm sleep.

NIGHTMARE OF DAWN

"Bitch you got us killed. Now we will never leave you alone." Jared says laughing as my body shakes and I start running down a long hallway that was leading to nowhere.

All I can see is darkness in front of me and I knew that this was the end of my life. Stopping I sit down bringing my knees to my chest and putting my hands up to protect my head. Hearing footsteps getting closer I look up and see Jared and Daniel standing in front of me smiling.

Feeling nothing but pain I realize that they both were constantly kicking my body. Screaming and crying in pain they ignore it as they keep beating me down. Crying I lay on the floor unable to move as I close my eyes.

END OF NIGHTMARE

Waking up shaking and thrashing around as I cry and scream I feel arms around me. Crying more I realize that I was in the room with my family as I start to calm down and I run over to dad who was standing in the doorway of the room that leads into the kitchen.

"Dawn it's gonna be okay I promise." Dad says as he pulls me tighter to him and I sniffle into his chest as he picks me up and walks me back to the couch sitting us down.

"Baby I know you are scared but I need you to tell us what you saw." Mom says as she sits in front of me whipping my tears as I nod.

"It was Daniel and Jared. They said I got them killed and that they were never going to leave me alone. Then I started running away but all I could do is run and run because it was a never ending hallway. So I stopped and sat down as Jared and Daniel beat me." I cry into dads chest and mom sighs running her hands through her head.
