Chapter 4: Chara Dreemurr meets Nightmare

You will never wake up!
This is no Disney Dream!
Forever after you!
Are haunted by Machine!

Words echoed in your mind as the Nightmares entered your reality.

"You aren't real..."

They're getting closer...

"Go away..."

There's nothing you can do...

"Stop."

Closer...

"Stop!"

And closer...

"STOP!"

They're Here!!!!

You woke up sweating and breathing heavily. The Nightmares keep on going, they keep on getting worse.

"And there's nothing you can do about it."

You heard a voice from behind you. You also realize that you're not in bed, but surrounded by darkness. There was no ground and no walls. You turn around to see a figure.

More specifically a girl. She had brown hair and pale skin. She had a smile on her face and a natural pink blush and red eyes. She wore a green sweater with a single yellow stripe in the middle and brown pants and boots.

"Greetings. I am Chara. And you are Michael, right?" Chara said with the same smile.

"Oh, y-yeah. Also, where am I?" I asked nervously.

"We're in the Void. Right now, Gaster's supposed to be here, but he's not. He has things to do." Chara said.

"Ok. Now, i-is there anyway I can... leave?" I asked hoping I can leave this Void.

"Hmm... yeah, you're currently asleep. You'll be able to leave when you start to wake up." Chara said.

"Ok." I simply said.

*Nightmare's Laughter.

You started shaking in fear as you hear a familiar voice.

"Michael, you think you can escape?"

...

But Chara couldn't hear Nightmare. So she thought you were shaking because you were afraid of her.

"Wow. So you're afraid of me?" Chara said with a laugh. Then, two red eyes appeared behind Chara. Since Nightmare was black, he blended in with the Void, so the only thing you could see was his eyes, teeth, claws, hat, and bowtie.

Nightmare's mouth was hanging open as he towered over Chara. Chara was sure to know that Nightmare was behind her.

"C-Chara, behind y-you." You said pointing at Nightmare. Chara slowly turned around to see a dark, tall figure standing there with red eyes looking down at Chara.

Her eyes widened as she suddenly summoned dozens of glowing red knifes around it while backing up.

"Woah! how long have you been there!?" Chara shouted while glaring at the figure.

It just stood there doing nothing. It laughed and touched one of the knifes. The knife turned black and glowed with a white outline. All the knifes glowed.

"All mine..."

He pointed at us both and the knifes started to fly at us!

"RUN! I'll handle this!" Chara yelled for you to run as black goo started to stream down her face. "Let's go teddy bear!"

You didn't know how long you were running for, but you couldn't see or hear them anymore. You then started to fade as you looked down at your hands. You were waking up. Before you woke up, you heard Nightmare scream three words, and three words only.

"I'll be back!"
