Logan's P.O.V

Oh my god. Did she just ask me to meet up after school? I blinked countless times, trying my best not to fall for her but she was making it so darn hard! And the next thing is, she doesn't even know. I glanced at her secretly. She looked too much like Luna... and my heart raced faster at that thought.

The rest of the day went by quickly and soon I found myself waiting in the library, waiting alone. I sighed. Janelle was probably with her friends and forgot all about the project. Although i just transferred to this school, I soon found out pretty much everything about the environment here- who the popular people were, fierce teachers etc. Low and behold, she was the captain of the Rivervale High's cheerleading team while i was just a... nobody. I didn't even know why i keep thinking i stand a chance to win her heart. She was already taken anyway. Why would she want to give me a chance when she was already with Blake Samuels, the most popular guy at Riverstone? Afterall, Blake was the total definition of perfection. He was good-looking, muscular, popular and more. What more can a girl like Janelle ask for .. right? Wait, why was i even thinking of her? I don't like her. I simply can't. I grabbed my sketch book and traced my hand over the intricate drawings of the special dress i had designed...

"Hiya Logan! Sorry i was late!" her sweet voice wafted into the library, immediately knocking me into the real world as I quickly shoved my sketch book into my bag.

"H-hi Janelle," i stammered when I saw her. Damn, she looked so gorgeous! I mentally slapped myself. Oh my how could I even think of such a thing!

"Whatcha got there?" she inquired as she tried to look into my bag.

"N-nothing just, ya know, homework and stuff." I said, playing it cool.

She seemed doubtful for a moment but then let the matter rest and started on the project. Phew. That was a close one. There was no way i would show anyone the sketchbook. It was for me and me alone.

Despite how i thought she was the stereotyped cheerleader, i started to realise that she was nothing like how i imagined her to be. Instead, she was smart, open-minded and down to earth. My heart fluttered a little as once again, I realised that I had fallen for her charms without knowing it.

In the end, we both settled on a biology topic. Not trying to brag, but honestly I think Janelle and I work really well as a team and I was sure we were gonna get the highest marks in the class for this project. Our ideas simply flow and not realising it, we were almost done with the whole thing!
