Chapter 2- The Cave

_Katherine's point of view_

Everyone's heads turned towards me. I was now standing and realized I had said it out loud. "HELL NO!" I yelled. Everyone looked shocked at my sudden outburst. Adam calmly said, "It's happening and that's final. Everyone is required to help with the move. You are all dismissed." I barely heard him because I was already slamming the front door shut. I shifted and my wolf was pure black. I ran through the forest trees going by in a blur.

I arrived at my secret place. I shifted back and walked into the cave. I, unlike every other wolf in our pack, had mastered shifting back and still having clothes on.

I got to the end of the cave and pushed the wall. On the other side was a beautiful meadow with tall knee high grass. There was a small path leading to some rocks.

I followed the path and arrived at a huge waterfall that was in a C shape. At the foot of the waterfall was a clear, shiny, amazing lake.

I went to where the edge of the waterfall and moved the vines. I walked in and was greeted with a breathtaking scene. It amazed me every time.

A small cave with gems, rocks, and a rainbow effect from the waterfall.

I turned on the radio and plugged in my iPod. Take Me to Church by Hozier started playing (look it up it's awesome). I grabbed a journal and pen then sat on the couch that was on the bottom part of the loft bed.

I found this place when I was 10. I never told anyone and I don't plan to.

There were already shelves and a fireplace in the walls made of rock. I put in my loft bed, mini fridge, and personal items.

I began to draw as the music played. It's 3:15 I'll leave at 4. Guess now is a good a time as any to tell you about myself.

My name is Katherine Roseanne Valentine. I'm a werewolf and the youngest of the Alpha children.

There are 8 of us. After me there's the triplets the worst people you'll ever meet. Emerald Samantha Valentine, Blake Vincent Valentine, and Ruby Annabella all 17.

Ruby isn't as bad as the other too though.

Next are the twins Johnny Charles Valentine and Jacob Christopher Valentine both 19.

The oldest are twins Adam Michael and Valentine and Marlene Alexandra Valentine.

Adam hasn't found his mate yet so Marlene helps out with the Luna position. Adam is the Alpha of our pack.

Our packs name is Bloodmoon. We live in Texas and are the biggest and most powerful in the states.

My best friends are Nicole Brianne Bates (Nic), Jessica Marie Slovak (Jess), and Emily Amelia Tuley (Em).

Nic is in the Beta family. Her mate just so happens to be my brother Blake. Her brother, David Lucas Bates, is our Beta. His mate being Sarah Bethany Slovak.

Sarah is Jessica's sister. Jessica is one of our best warriors. Her sister is the Beta Female.

Emily's sister is the Gamma of our pack (third in command). Emily along with Jessica is one of the best warriors.

Ginger Angeline Spencer and Caroline Esther Michaelson are friends of mine. Caroline is the pack doctor and Ginger is the principle of our school.

My wolf's name is Nightmare. She is either pure white or pure black. Black is when she's angry, sad, or any other not-so-good mood.

When she's white here eyes are blue and when she's black her eyes are purple.

I have long hair in layers. I was born with it black and the tips change color along with my eyes. Right now it's blue.

I have pale skin and full lips that somehow are always pink. I've also been told I have pretty, naturally long, eyelashes.

I haven't found my mate yet and I don't plan to. Everyone thinks I'm weak and defenseless since I'm the youngest and no one has ever seen me fight. I actually have been practicing but in the meadow alone.

I'm 16 years young, my birthday being October 11. My parents died in a rouge attack 5 years ago when I was 11.

My favorite color is black. I love music and food. No favorite band singer or anything. Although my favorites are Fall Out Boy, Tove Lo, All-American Rejects, Echosmith, and Hozier. I know it's a lot.

In school I get straight A's and play a lot of sports. I'm in art, photography, woodshop, and other classes. Those are on Fridays.

Sports are Monday and Wednesday. Classes are Tuesday and Thursday.

My weekends are free for me to do whatever I please.

School starts tomorrow and I am NOT looking forward to it.

Well it's 4 o'clock. I should head back. I put up my journal and pen then walk out of the cave after turning off my music.
