Hi guys, I'm in a club's bathroom at the mo but have decided to post this cause, priorities. Anyways, this is the new story, definitely completely different from the last one. This one ain't soft at all. It's based off of one of my favourite songs, "I Never Existed" by Chase Atlantic. I would really recommend giving it a listen. It's going to be three parts long, so slightly shorter than the last. Don't worry if you find this chapter a little boring, I promise stuff starts to happen in the next one.

Enjoy!

Chanyeol strolled into the large venue, the scent of expensive wine and cigar smoke met his nostrils immediately. Scrunching his nose, he peered around the room, looking for a familiar face.

Don't get him wrong, the party scene was 100% Chanyeol's thing; the booze, the music and the girls that came with it. But not when it's work related.

Before he left, he said to himself that he'd stay 30 minutes and then he'd be out, there long enough to do more than show his face but not long enough to leave him with a sour taste in his mouth.

Chanyeol, Loey by stage, was a musician under a major record label located in LA. The label had brought him great fortune; fame, wealth and all the rewards that come with them. Many of his nights were spent at parties with a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a girl or two in the other, wasting his youth away for a night of momentary bliss.

This particular party was different to the ones he usually frequented however.

A label mate of his, Taehyung, had recently released an album and Chanyeol was meant to attend to show support, although support was the last thing on his mind. Chanyeol and Taehyung were known to be rivals, often releasing music at the same time, competing viciously on the charts. The rivalry wasn't just musical though. Chanyeol hated the so called 'Pop Prince's' guts. He was the kind of person that Chanyeol would never get on with, much too concerned with keeping up appearance and portraying his innocent image.

He was just so...vanilla.

That was the way to describe it.

Vanilla.

And Chanyeol was sick of it. This is why he said he's stay for a maximum of half an hour, only enough time to grab a drink or two, congratulate Taehyung quickly and then make a mad dash for the exit.

His eyes continued to scan the room for a couple more seconds before giving up. Evidently, Kai and Sehun had decided to skip out on this one, the duo were also not fond of the blonde-headed golden boy.

Sighing, he made his way over to the bar and ordered a glass of red wine. He sipped it quietly as he checked his watch. Not even five minutes had passed since he walked in, and he was supposed to last 30 minutes?

Chanyeol hated how restrained these gatherings were. From the formal attire to the stiff small talk you were forced to make. No one could even drink and relax for fear of going too far.

Fiddling with the cuff links of his jacket, he barely noticed the presence in front of him until it cleared its voice.

Looking up, he met the eyes of Kim Taehyung.

"Chanyeol, a pleasure as always." He grimaced, discomfort laced in his words. He looked as forced to make conversation with Chanyeol as Chanyeol was forced to attend. The sight of the golden boy without his signature smile made Chanyeol laugh.

"Don't lie to me. I know you're just as displeased to see me as I am to see you. You can relax. I've just come to say congratulations, 30 minutes and I'll be out of your hair." Chanyeol spoke jokingly, as he finished the rest of his glass and ordered another.
