"We are sorry, A0. But this is all we can do. You are our strongest and most intelligent soldier. We believe you can endure this. Remember," a man said to a boy as he slammed his fist over his heart, "for humanity."
There were four others surrounding them in a small room, guns in their hands, tears in their eyes. They knew it was the end for them. But they kept smiling.
"Do not worry."
The boy said. His eyes were closed.
"I will not fail. For humanity."
He too, slammed his fist against his chest. The man in front of him lifted his hand, clutching a shining gem, pale and blue.
"Good luck."
He too closed his eyes. The boy in front of him disappeared at the same time the gem did. The metal door closing off the room exploded. Bullets rained in, immediately killing the five left in the cold, grey room. A monster of metal walked forward, it's legs and hands like claws, shiny yet dark. Its body like a skeleton's. More stood behind it, smaller. The leader of them sent out a strange message through sound. Then it's red eyes glowed.
