I met someone eight years ago
Friends may be taking it too far
But we knew each other relatively well
So I forced myself to fall in love.
I met someone over a year ago
She became my best friend
When she said she was done with it all
I told her I'd fallen in love.
I met someone just six months ago
They were a friend of a friend I think
We'd talk every night till one passed out
Books I read told me, I fell in love.
I met a kid less than a month ago
She was familiar in a new crowd
I'm slowly making friends with her
I've decided I'm falling in love.
I know of a kid that I'm waiting to meet
Who is confused and scared
And she thinks she's alone
I don't know if I can fall in love.
