Elvira entered the office in Paris again. Her eyes caught the cleaned space, it seems like everyone cleaned up their desk, it was better to see it as an office and not a student workspace. Her eyes felt on Blair, and she casually nodded at her office. Elvira continued her way to her office.
Once back in her office, she yearns back to Monaco. Monday was always a tough day, but it was more though since she had to get up early and fly from Nice to Paris and get on time at work; 9:00. She made it, but she was already done for the day.
"Bonjour Elvira," Blair said happily when she entered the office. She watched Elvira unpacking her bag. "How did it go? I assume it went well since you arrived today." Hope was spread out on Blair's face.
Elvira sat down on. "Everything went well, we talked, and everything is fine now."
"I told you this would be easy!"
"Daniel was in Paris to talk to me, but I was in Monaco," she chuckled and put on her computer. "Can you believe that?"
"The smile on your face is telling me enough. I'm glad it's all fine now, so I don't have to worry about that," Blair enthusiastically said and folded her hands together.
Elvira nodded and logged in. "But that brings me to another thing." She held up her hand and pointed at the engagement ring.
Blair's jaw dropped, and she came closer. "What?!" She shouted. "Are you engaged?" She whispered.
"Yep."
Blair's eyes scanned the ring but quickly looked at Elvira. This was an excellent example of 'excuse me? What kind of stupid is going on?' situation. "I...Wow...I don't know what to say. To whom?"
"Daniel," Elvira smirked.
"You have no idea how many questions I have," Blair said confused. "Daniel, the guy you hated three days ago?" She parted her lips and squeezed her eyebrows together. "Tell me everything."
Elvira smiled. "I know it sounds stupid. But why not? We marry as best friends, that's all."
"I have known for what? Eight years? I don't know what to think. When?"
Elvira smirked about the reaction she got, this won't be the last one she will get. "We both agreed to it on Saturday, and we will marry next Monday."
A snort left Blair's mouth, and she shook her head. "My goodness. Elvira, what is going on with you? I mean, congrats and I'm happy for you, but what the hell. Have you already got a dress, location, catering?" She sounded flabbergasted.
"That is why I need you. I don't know where to start. You are married, so you have been through this before."
"Wow, Elvira," Blair said surprised and let out a breath of air. She crossed her legs, brought her hand to her mouth. "This is impossible, but fine."
Their eyes felt on Elvira's work phone; Daniel was calling. Elvira accepted the call and put him on the loudspeaker. "Hey, you are on the loudspeaker," she informed him.
"Oh, G'day. Had a safe flight? And does that mean someone else is there named Blair?" Daniel asked and grabbed something to eat. "And consider switching to a new phone ASAP, because your own phone doesn't even connect."
"Yeah, it was alright," Elvira answered his question. "I know. Hold on for a day."
"Yup, that's me. But Daniel, tell me, engagement?" Blair raised her voice and leaned against the desk.
Daniel breathed deeply. "Yes. El, I have found a location," he ignored Blair. "I'm sending it to you to your mail. It's a place of a friend who happens to be in Canada until next month. I think you will like it."
