Wedding pt. 2
The moment was there. Daniel let his eyes glide over the people in front of him and blew up his cheeks. His hand felt sweaty, but cold at the same time. He could feel his heart beating in his chest, in his throat, in every vein in his body and on his temple.
"You are not gonna tell me you are nervous," Max teased when he passed Daniel.
Daniel squeezed his eyebrows together. "What? No," he lied. Of course, I'm nervous.
Max smirked and sat down on a white chair.
Daniel his eyes felt on Blair, Juliana and his own mum. He held in his own breath, it meant Elvira was ready and was about to walk down the aisle.
He tightened his jaw when this beautiful woman showed up in his sight. Elvira had a quick glance over the people who were smiling, she softly squeezed in her dad's hand. Her eyes felt on Sebastian and Hanna, they made it. They both smiled. Blair and her husband Hugo were whispered to each other, but stopped when they saw Elvira and her dad. Elvira quickly looked at Grace, Joe, Melissa and Max. Andy was standing at the aisle since the was the person to lead this ceremony.
Floris was walking her down the aisle, he was smiling proudly. Daniel his jaw dropped when she came closer. So beautiful. Tears filled his eyes, he never thought he was almost crying on his wedding day. But for now, it was okay, more than okay. It was happy tears because he couldn't believe he was about to marry his best friend who looked stunning. The dress hugged her figure, the white fabric with a bright contrast against her soft summer tan she got from last weekend.
Floris locked his eyes with Daniel and gave him a nod. Sending him the thought of I hope this is not a mistake and protect my little girl.
Elvira glanced at her mother and Lukas before turning to her father again. "Thanks, Pappa," she said and smiled.
Floris smiled proudly and gave her away to Daniel.
Her eyes met Daniel's again. "You are catching flies," she whispered and gave him a soft nudge on his side.
He closed his mouth and smirked softly. "Can't help it. You're beautiful."
Warmth appeared on her cheeks. "You too."
"Good afternoon everyone," Andy said. Daniel and Elvira looked both at Andy. "On this beautiful afternoon on Monday 25th of June in the Riviera in France, two extraordinary people will make their love officially. And with love, I mean 'we both deny love for each other, so we are just gonna marry randomly so we can be together at the end of the road anyway.' I promised to keep it short and simple, just like this wedding in general."
Elvira bit her lip to keep her smile small and looked down. Her eyes felt on Daniel his socks: black socks with ducks on it.
"My gosh, Dan," she said and looked at him. He raised his eyebrows. "You had one job, and you choose ducks?"
"Always," he chuckled.
Andy looked at the two people and smiled. It was cute how they tried to hide their peals of laughter and giggles. "It all started a week ago, eight days to be exact. I got a call and got asked to lead this wedding. And that is where it all began..."
Andy talked everyone through the points that were always said on a wedding. He made his own version of it by letting boring stuff out and adding some personal stuff and jokes. He was glad it wasn't a formal wedding were everything needed to be perfect, but it was a wedding with a personal touch, and small mistakes or changes were more than excepted.
