Katsuki's pov"So... that's my bad dream? That's why I have it?"
Nodding, I carefully pulled my little boy into my arms.
"You were only a baby. I wish you didn't see that."
Eijiro lifted a hand and softly placed it on my back, rubbing soothing circles through my shirt.
"Yeah, but, Daddy?"
"Yes, Buddy?"
"Can we get ready to go meet 'Nari? I wanna show him my trucks."
I chuckled and nodded, setting him on the ground. "Of course, Buddy. Why Don't you let Eijiro help you pick an outfit out?"
He smiled brightly and nodded, grabbing Eijiro's hand and pulling him. "Yeah! Come on, Eiji!"
He laughed and quickly followed him up the stairs as I carried Kai behind them.

Eijiro's pov"Hey, Eijiro? Can I ask you something?"
I sat on the edge of the small bed and nodded. "Of course. What is it?"
He sighed and pulled out a dark blue shirt out of his dresser and sat beside me.
"Do you think she loved me? I mean, she called me a mean name and wouldn't let me hug her goodbye..."
Ah. His mother.
"Well, I'm sure she did love you, no matter what she tried to tell herself. You were her first kid. She'll always have a special place in her heart for you."
"What about Kai? Will she have a special place for her too?"
I smiled and ruffled his hair a bit. "Of course she will. Kai is her first daughter."
He smiled softly and nodded thoughtfully.
"But you know what I always say, Micah?"
He hummed quietly and looked over at me. "What?"
"The past is something we shouldn't dwell on too much. We can always look forwards to the future."
He tilted his head and I could practically read the confusion in his eyes.
"Look at it this way. Have you ever made a mistake?"
He nodded. "I've spilled my milk at breakfast."
Smiling, I rubbed his shoulder. "Well, that milk was cleaned right? And you didn't spill any milk today did you?"
He shook his head 'no'.
"Then you can tell yourself that you won't do it tomorrow either. Or the day after that and so on."
"Oh! Okay! I think I get it now!" He giggled and looked up at me as I poked a finger at his chest gently.
"Because no matter what, the past is behind us, and we have the future to look forwards to, but most importantly, we have today. Today is a day for you to be great. A day to make a difference."
He slowly raised a hand and put his finger to my chest as well, whispering, "Today."
I nodded and took my hand away, him doing the same. "And tomorrow, you can tell yourself the same thing."
He smiled brightly, showing off his pearly white teeth and nodding enthusiastically. "Yeah."
He lunged forwards and wrapped his arms around my neck as I patted his back.
