I looked up at the bright sky, the light all encompassing; blurring out any color that may be there. I felt the tickle of sand blow by me with the wind yet somehow the sensation was different. I curled my fingers and smiled; I was making progress.

"So, you are the one."

I blink at the unfamiliar voice, "You're not Onyx."

A soft, feminine laugh surrounded me. It sounded like the tinkle of bells and I longed to hear that laugh again. "I am certainly not Onyx, youngling. My name, is Solomus."

"Solomus? Do you know Onyx?"

"I do, he is my brother." A tall shadow loomed over me, much like Onyx's only this one was a bit slimmer. "I have twelve siblings in all, but we sent Onyx to you first due to his natural ways with organics." She crouched down, her shadowed face smiling at me. She hummed and clicked something in Cybertronian.

"Well I hope so." Another voice spoke, distinctly male with a gravely edge to it. "Solus made it himself."

Sensing my confusion Solomus spoke, "One of my brothers, Epistemus."

"Epistemus?"

"Indeed." Another shadow appeared above me, blocking out the rest of the light. "And you, youngling, are Melody Marie Santos. The Expedient."

"The what?"

"Don't worry about it youngling. My brother often thinks aloud."

"O-Okay, but why are you here? Why am I here?"

"An inquisitive mind, good."

"We are here to tell you a story." Solomus answers. "One that starts long before Cybertron."

She sits back and Epistemus takes front stage. "Long ago, before Cybertron was made, there was only The Creator. The Creator is rumored to be one of the most ancient beings in all of the cosmos. They are also rumored to be the creator of our God, Primus." He leaned back, the light surrounding me once more. "However, The Creator also created Primus's brother; Unicron. The two were inseparable. They got along just as any good pair of brothers would; however for many millennia's they could not create life. The brothers have only ever known each other and as such never did anything without the other. So, when the two could not decide on a race to create they argued. It was said that their fights echoed across galaxies." I closed my eyes and thought I could feel my eardrums vibrate with unheard noise. "This is where many get it wrong. You see, Unicron and Primus did not hate each other, nor did they ever try and kill one another. Unable to come to an agreement the pair decided to create their own separate races. Neither prototypes could survive in the conditions of space, so the brothers scoured the cosmos together to try and find a suitable area for their beloved creations. As they journeyed, they developed their creations to their own forms of perfection and were overjoyed. They were sure that their races would be fast friends with each other. So similar yet so very different. However, Primus's race, the Cybertronians, could not survive in the area the Unicron's race, the humans, could. Devastated, the brothers had to part ways for their creation's survival. However, Primus had ensured his Cybertronians would be advanced enough to seek out their cousin race through the stars. Unicron, wanting his creations to grow and advance on their own, had left his humans as they were, but provided the planet with the resources to seek out their cousin race."

"Wow." I whispered.

Epistemus nods, "I'm not quiet done yet, though." Clearing his throat, he continues, "Unicron and Primus watched over their creations lovingly. However, soon their planets began to die. Saddened by the constant revival their creations needed both brothers had come to the same conclusion. To ensure that their creations could live on, the next time their planet died, instead of building a new one, they built one around themselves. They became the core and life source of their planet and in turn their creations."
