"What?!" Goldenkit gasped. "I was asleep for that long?"
"Yes, mouse-brain." Moonkit mewed. "Come on it's about to start."
As the kits walked to the rock they saw cats young and old.
"Today we have seven kits who have all reached the age of six moons. Goldenkit, Stormkit, Cliffkit, Kestrelkit, Moonkit, Eclipsekit, and Nightkit. Please step forward." Whitestar meowed, standing on the rock proudly. The kits stepped forward and Starfur, Sunpelt, Robinfeather, and Ashcall were behind them, their chests puffed out in pride.
As Whitestar recited the words, the kits' eyes glittered in excitement.
"Until you get your warrior names you shall be known as Goldenpaw, Stormpaw, Cliffpaw, Kestrelpaw, Moonpaw, Eclipsepaw, and Nightpaw."
"Wait!" Goldenkit yowled. "What about Lostkit?"
"Who's Lostki- wait do you mean Lostfur?" Whitestar asked, looking puzzled and surprised.
"You know him?" Goldenkit gasped.
"Yes! He was my older brother!"
The cats all gasped, ((wow MountainClan has a real gasping problem xD)) their eyes widening.
"Well, in that case, Lostkit, you are now known as Lostpaw. Where ever you are." Whitestar mumbled, continuing. "Your mentors are ((this is in the order of cats)) Flamefur, Robinfeather, Shadowfur, Leaftail, Coldwind, Hurricane, and Ashcall. I hope they pass on all they know to you." Whitestar said proudly.
"My mentor was a loner!" Eclipsepaw bounced up happily.
The warriors walked up and touched noses with their apprentice, while Flamefur had to touch noses with Lostpaw, too. ((awkward...))
Moonpaw bounced up to Goldenpaw. "We're apprentices!!" Coldwind followed her, padding towards Flamefur. Goldenkit thought he saw her ears darken as she approached, but he shook it off as a trick of shadow.
"Shall we start with a tour of the territory?" Flamefur meowed, his tail flicking.
"Psst, Goldenpaw," Lostpaw whispered, as time froze right as Flamefur's jaw opened wide.
Goldenpaw looked down at the shadow. "What? I want to look at the territory!"
Lostpaw nodded. "I know. But I also know of a place you all will love. Whisper it to Flamefur after and I can guide your paws."
Time un-froze and Goldenpaw ran up to whisper to Flamefur. He nodded, and they started on their way.
**innocent time skip**
When they reached the heart of the territory, Goldenpaw suddenly stopped. "Flamefur! I've found it!"
The mentors padded up to the two apprentices. "A hole? What's so special?" Coldwind meowed, her head titling. "We need to get to the other parts of this territory."
The golden apprentice shook his head quickly. "It's not a hole! Follow me, hold on to each other's tails!"
They all slid into the tunnel, occasionally bumping their head on the roof. As the tunnel widened, the light got stronger. Goldenpaw thought he saw flashes of stars, but once again thought of it as a trick.
The four cats stumbled into a wide cave with a river running through it on one side. Three holes that looked like claw-marks let the light through the top, and a large rock was placed on the edge. Around the water, there was sand, nice, soft, sand, with a log covering the distance between each side.
"Woah... how did you know about this, Goldenpaw? I suppose Lostpaw told you, didn't he?" Flamefur sighed, his eyes widening in awe.
Goldenpaw puffed his chest out proudly. "Yep! It's awesome, isn't it?"
A flash of stars appeared on the rock. Upon it stood a dark-furred tom, as regal-looking as the lions Goldenpaw had heard of.
"Clan cats. Welcome." the tom rumbled, his voice booming around the cave and into the tunnels. More cats appeared, their pelts shimmering.
Coldwind's eyes narrowed and she crouched down, looking about ready to fight. The one on the rock noticed her icy gaze and jumped down from it. "We mean no harm, and, quite frankly, we can't do any."
Goldenpaw felt a strange feeling, only to look back and see his shadow was gone. Lostpaw stood beside him, quite a lot bigger. "No shame in coming to see you, Storm Shade."
Storm Shade's eyes lit up. "Lostfur? Is that you?"
"Who else would it be? Alderpelt, Splochedstar... I've got names for days." Lostpaw mumbled.
"Well, it's great to see you again." Storm Shade purred.
As the two cats talk about what has happened recently. Moonpaw was happy that the two friends were able to see each other once more.
The river started to glow the color of moonlight.
"Whoa, Moonpaw! Did you do that?"
Goldenpaw meowed, his eyes wide."I don't know, but if I did then-." her meow was stopped when Coldwind flicked her tail.
"Alright, let's go, I still don't trust them," Coldwind growled.
"Farewell, Clan cats! Come any time!" Storm Shade called.
"Bye." Lostpaw meowed, falling back into step with Goldenpaw and into a shadow.
Coldwind grumbled. "Do you really think they're StarClan cats? I mean, they would be in Silverpelt, wouldn't they be?"
Goldenpaw shook his head as they went on. "Aren't they Spirits? Different from StarClan?"
"Coldwind, some cats don't have StarClan." Flamefur meowed, padding out of the cavern.
**Innocent time skip**
Goldenpaw and Moonpaw walked back to the apprentice den meeting up with their siblings.
"So?" Kestrelpaw taunted ."How did it go?"
"What do you mean?" Goldenpaw growled, his nose wrinkling.
"With Moonpaw! Everyone knows you like her!" Cliffpaw meowed, his eyes rolling.
"No, I don't!" Goldenpaw yowled, his pelt turning hot.
"Mouse-brain, it's obvious! You freeze up when she walks by, you squeak like a trapped vole when you talk to her, and I'm pretty sure that she likes you back." Stormpaw finished, smirking.
"Fine, I like her a little bit..." Goldenpaw mumbled, wanting to change the subject.
"Right." the pale brown she-cat mewed.
"Fine, a lot! I like her a lot, and I want to impress her somehow." Goldenpaw admitted shyly.
Moonpaw padded up. "I heard what you said, Goldenpaw."
