Chapter 7

"Hey! Goldenblaze!" Goldenblaze woke up shocked to see Lightningpaw.

"Have you seen Eclipsesight?"

He shook his head in response.

"What a shame. She was supposed to show me the territory to today..."

His sentence was cut off as Eclipsesight burst into the den.

"Lightningpaw! The tour is canceled! The twolegs have traps everywhere!"

"What!" Goldenblaze yowled, sitting up. " You're kidding me, right-"

"DO I SOUND LIKE IM JOKING RIGHT NOW!?" Eclipsesight screeched, her ears back.

Suddenly everything went dark. All you could hear were crickets and the confused and terrified meows of the Clan.

"T-the s-sun d-disappeared!?" Robinfeather mewed, shaking.

Goldenblaze, Eclipsesight, and Lightnigpaw walked out of the den to see nothing but pitch black.

Goldenblaze felt dizzy, collapsing onto the floor.

As he opened his eyes, he saw Lostfur sitting in front of him, looking quite annoyed while pawing at his shoulder.

"Get up!"

"What do you want now?" Goldenblaze grumbled, still dizzy. "You could have just talked to me."

"Well, where's the fun in that?" Lostfur meowed, a smug look on his face.

Why you little- Goldenblaze's thought was cut off as Lostfur started to talk.

"I'm here to tell you that what you're experiencing is called a solar eclipse."

"Wait, eclipse- that's the first half of Eclipsesight's name!"

"Keep going..." Lostfur meowed, waving a paw. "If you come up with a conclusion, that makes my job easier."

"Does that mean that Eclipsesight caused this solar eclipse?"

"Mm-hm."

"So shouldn't you be talking to her?"

"Nah, I don't feel like bothering her." the blue-grey tom shrugged, smirking.

*Time skip*

The eclipse went on for five days.

Goldenblaze, Moonspot, Lightningpaw, and Starfur went on a hunting patrol as far away from where the two legs were sighted.
They managed to find a couple of rabbits and mice. Everything else, however, was hiding in their dens.
Eclipsesight was still stressed from the twolegs invading. She stayed in the medicine den while Waterfang tried to calm her down.

"I'm worried about Eclipsesight..." Lightningpaw meowed, worried.

"I'm sure she's going to be fine," Starfur assured him, whisking his tail.

Goldenblaze had not told Eclipsesight about her power, hoping that she might figure it out herself.

As they were walking into camp, Goldenblaze decided to visit Eclipsesight.

"Hey... Eclipsesight?"

"What."

"I was wondering how you were doing," Goldenblaze mumbled, nervously shuffling his paws.

"Thanks for your concern..." she replied, sarcasm edging her voice.

"Lightningpaw is pretty upset about not getting a tour..." He paused. "I think I know a way that he can see the territory without being in danger."

"Really?!" She meowed.

Goldenblaze looked out side the den the sky was a bit brighter. All the cat were outside, acting like a kit who had just opened their eyes.

"Yeah! Flamefur and I dug a lot of holes when I was an apprentice."

"Why?"

"I'm actually not really sure why. But I know we did!"

"What does this have to do with the tour?"

"If we're carful enough if we sense something we can hide in one of them!"

" Actually, that could work!"

He turned a round in amazement the sun was out again! All the cats were rejoicing! Moonspot was starting at the sky practically frozen her pelt was blinding in the sunlight.

"Alright! The sun is out!" Eclipsesight meowed. "I'll go get Lightningpaw an tell him the good news! Meet us at the camp entrance!"

Goldenblaze was happy that his plan worked Moonspot walked up to him.

"Thank Starclan the sun is back!" She mewed. "I all most forgot your pelt was that bright!"
