24. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?

"I'm sure you are all aware as to why you are brought here." Said Bang PD, his hands clasped together as he sat at his desk, not looking at anyone.

"Yes sir." Said Namjoon, not looking at anyone either. Truthfully, nobody was looking at anyone. Nobody had the guts too.

They had no idea what happened, or why it happened, but they did know that whatever happened, it was a shameful thing, too shameful for them to even look at each other.

The only one who stared from one to another was myself. I wanted to know what they were thinking, how they were taking everything in. But unfortunately, I was blocked, why? I cannot tell.

The memory of the incident earlier flashed in my head, making my head ache. You might be thinking that it's about the girl in the Cyber Cafe that I'm talking about. Gosh, no. I don't regret what I did to her, she had that coming.

But what I'm talking about is what happened after that. I shook my head, trying to stop thinking about it. Something definitely went wrong.

"Hyun Jin, he caused trouble." Bang PD's voice brought me back to reality. 

"But, why would he do that?" Questioned Jin bravely. Now, all eyes turned to Bang PD. Looked like they were all in search of the answer.

Bang PD sighed, unclasping his hands then clasping it again. A nervous act, I noticed.

"Many reasons. One, he wants profit. Two, he wants to corrupt us, you boys especially." A shudder passed through all the boys when Bang PD mentioned them to be corrupted. "But none of them add up." Continued he.

"Have you boys ever heard of the cases, where entertainments, those that are not well developed, end up making deals with guys like Hyun Jin and his kind, who promise them good luck for their company, if they do as they say?"

The boys nodded. I looked from one person to another, trying to understand what he meant, what strange words he used to describe it but failed. But one thing was clear, it was not anything good.

"Well, it seems, Hyun Jin is up for that." Suddenly, Namjoon was on his feet. I didn't even know he was sitting. "But that's useless isn't it? Big Hit is better off now! Why would he try to catch something which has international attention?"

At first, I expected Bang PD to rant and silence Namjoon for his outburst. However, he just ran his fingers through his already dying hairs and replied in a tired voice.

"I told him the same thing, in a different way at least. But he didn't seem fazed, as if he was prepared for all this, as if it was his sole motive to bring our international fame down. And I must say, so far, it is working."

The boys sighed, and so did I. We didn't have to ask him what he meant with that. We already knew, I saw it live.

"So what do we do now?" Asked Jin, looking very tired. This time, Bang PD stood up, his hands folded behind his back. "Nothing. We pretend like nothing happened. I mean pretend? Why should we even pretend? What did we do wrong? As long as we know we are right, it doesn't matter what people say. Once the truth is out, they will know eventually that we were right all along. Go back home, you boys still have a vacation to enjoy." With that, they all dispersed.
