Chapter 16

Jake's POV.

"Come with me, please." I whined at Libby as she was getting onto that death trap, ready to go off to school.

"But I don't want to," she pouted and it took everything in me not to kiss her.

"Please, for me. How about we ditch school today and spend the day together?" I asked her with a smile.

"Really?" she asked and I nodded, she smiled. "Ok," she replied then I held the door to my car open for her. She thanked me and got in. I shut her door then got in myself. "So what have you got planned for us today then?" she asked.

"I can't tell you that, it's a surprise." I winked at her and she turned her head away, but not before I saw the light blush on her cheeks. I chuckled and continued driving.

We had been driving for about an our when I pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant. I got out and opened her door for her. she got out and smiled. I grabbed her hand and led her inside. A waiter led us to a table.

"So is this what we plan to do today?" she asked.

"Nope, I thought I'd take you out to breakfast then spend the whole day with you doing stuff." I told her.

"Really? And what are we doing after this?" she asked smiling.

"Oh well I can't tell you that. It's a surprise." I told her and smiled back. Just the waiter came over to us.

"What can I get for you today?" he asked us but his eyes never left Libby. I could see his eyes roaming her body, mostly her legs and chest. Libby didn't notice though. I growled and his eyes snapped to me.

"I suggest you stop looking at my girlfriend before you regret it!" I snapped at him, I stood up and his eyes widened before he took a few steps back. Libby jumped up and came over to me.

"Jake, calm down," she spoke softly to me.

"Look sorry dude, I didn't mean to look at your girl," he put his arms up in surrender. Libby sat me back down in my chair and sat on my lap, my arms went around her waist and held her there. Libby told the waiter our orders and her ran away to the kitchen. As soon as her was out os sight I started laughing.

"Oh my! Did you see his face." I laughed. Libby let out a little chuckle but then covered it up.

"Hey! That was mean, why did you do that?" she asked me. I stopped laughing and looked at her.

"Because he was checking out my girl." I told her and she shook her head and smiled. She brought her lips down to mine and kissed me, I kissed her back. She pulled away and got out of my lap and I pouted. Just then the waiter came back and rushed away again. I chuckled to myself and we started eating.

When we were done eating a different waiter came over and gave us the check. I paid then we left, on the way back to my car I burst out laughing and so did Libby. We got back into my car and Libby turned to me.

"Let me guess, where we're going next is a surprise?" she asked and I chuckled and nodded. She groaned and sat back. Next I pulled up to a fun fair. Libby jumped out as soon as the car stopped. I laughed and got out myself. We spent a few hours at the fair and when I looked at my watch I saw that it was six o'clock.

We left the fair and I just had one more place to take her to. When I pulled into the car park Libby gasped.

"No way!" she shrieked. I chuckled, got out the car and went round to open the door for her. She jumped out and hugged me. "I haven't been to a beach in years, the last time I came to one is when I was seven and me, mum, dad and Danny went to one," she told me then pulled away to look at me. I could see the unshed tears in her eyes.
