Chapter 8

Libby's POV.

"Libby?" Cole asked.

"Yes Cole." I replied staring daggers at him. He started making his way over to me. "Don't. Come. Near. Me. Don't. Even. Touch. Me." I said taking a step back, putting my arm out motioning for him to stop.

"Why are you back?" he asked looking down at the ground.

"Oh did no one tell you. I'm here to train your weak, pathetic pack." I snapped at him and his eyes snapped up to me.

"Wait your from the Shadow Fire Pack?" he asked shocked.

"Well yes I am and I'm a pack warrior now, I'm strong and I'm pretty sure I could easily kick your ass so don't think you can go back to calling me names, bossing me around and abusing me." I stated still staring daggers at him. He just stood there staring at me his eyes roaming over my body. I looked around and saw that everyone else from our pack had come out and they were staring at me with a worried expression. Danny and Chad were also staring at me with a worried expression. Jake started making his way over to us. When he got over he came up to me and put his arm around my shoulder.

"Are you ok? Do you want to go somewhere else?" he whispered in my ear but before I had a chance to answer Jake was yanked off me.

"Don't touch my mate!" Cole growled and Jake growled back.

"You know what Cole you don't have the right to call me your mate, not with the way you treated me!" I yelled at Cole, "And Jakes allowed to touch me Cole."

"No he isn't you're mine!" he argued.

"No I'm not yours Cole. I don't know if you remember but you rejected me." I argued back. I grabbed Jakes hand and pulled him towards me. "Can we go?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure." he answered. I turned to Chad.

"Can you please get someone else to do it for today? I'm really not in the mood right now." I asked and he nodded.

"Yeah baby girl go ahead, I will get Greg to do it," he answered then came over to me and gave me a hug and kissed my forehead. Next thing I know Cooper has his hand wrapped around Cole's neck.

"I swear to god if you ever lay a hand on Libby I will fucking kill you, if you ever bother her, make her upset or anything I wont hesitate to kill you." Cooper threatened.

"God dam it Cooper let him go now! You don't handle an Alpha like that!" Chad demanded then grabbed his shirt and yanked him back. "If I catch you threatening any member of this pack again you will be sent home, do you understand me?" Chad growled.

"Yes I understand." Cooper growled back.

"Don't growl at me! I am your Alpha and you will obey my orders." Chad snapped back annoyed.

"Yes." Cooper said back. Cooper came over to me, hugged me and kissed me temple.

"Come on." Jake whispered then led me into the pack house and out the front door. Jake led me to his car and opened the passenger side door for me. I got in and muttered a 'thanks' then he shut the door and got in his side. Jake stated the car and drove. I wasn't paying attention to where we were going; Jake pulled into a car park and got out then opened the door for me. I got out and looked around. We were at a park; children were running around, some were playing whilst others were sitting with parents. Jake led me over to a bench and sat down. I sat next to him and put my head on his shoulder. He put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. "Do you want to talk about it?" he asked and I shook my head, no. "Ok but just know I'm here for you when you do," he told me. I got up off the bench, a look of confusion spread across Jakes face until I sat down on his lap and wrapped my arms around his waist whilst his came around mine and I leaned my head back on his shoulder and he rested his head on mine. We sat there for a while until an old couple walked past.

"Awww look young love, you two make an adorable couple," the old woman told us smiling. We smiled back.

"Thank you." Jake said then kissed my cheek. I felt myself blush.

"Awww look Roger aren't they adorable," the woman smiled at the man next to her.

"Yes hunny they are, just like us when we were young," he said and held her hand.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself my names Fiona and this is my husband Roger," she told us.

"Nice to meet you my names Libby and this is my boyfriend Jake." I introduced us. She smiled and we smiled back.

"Well it was nice meeting you but we must go." Roger told us then grabbed his wife's hand and they left.

"Well they were nice." I said to him looking up at his face.

"Yeah they were now come let's get back," he told me then stood up with me still in his lap but he just put a hand under my knees and carried me back to his car.

When we got back to the pack house we walked in and found all the guys in the living room watching football.

"Go sit with the guys and watch football." I told him.

"But what are going to do?" he asked.

"I will go find the girls." I told him then pushed him into the living room. I found Amy, Katie, Isabella, Katherine and another girl I don't know sitting in there.

"Hey." I greeted when I walked in.

"Hey," they greeted back.

"Libby this is Samantha, remember her?" Amy asked. Samantha? Oh My God I remember her.

"Sam?" I asked.

"Libby!" she squealed then embraced me in a hug, "I missed you."

"I missed you too," I hugged her back. I haven't seen Sam since she moved when I was nine, which was seven years ago. She pulled me to the table and sat me down then sat opposite me.

"So tell me how you have been. How are your parents? How's school? Have you found your mate yet? Why do you smell different?" she asked. My mood instantly went down at the mention of my parents. I went on and told her about my parents, about school, about finding my mate and him turning out to be Cole and him rejecting me and then I told her how I ran away and became a member of the Shadow Fire Pack. "Oh I'm so sorry no one told me," she got up and hugged me. When she pulled away she stood up and started walking towards the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked her.

"Well I think I'm going to have a little talk with Cole about rejecting you and treating you the way he did, also Danny," she said then walked out the kitchen and towards the living room. We all looked at each other with worried expressions then rushed out the kitchen after her.

When we got to the living room we only saw Samantha's fist collide with Coles face.
