The New Student

Chapter 5

Clark's POV:

I'm sitting at my usual spot which is at the school entrance, I'm waiting for the two girls.

"Why are they taking so long..." I mumbled for I was starting to get impatient, while mumbling to myself; Kyle noticed that I was by myself and walked towards me then asked,

Kyle: "Hey Clark, Good morning! Why are you all alone? Where's the other two?"

Me: "Morning, they still haven't arrived yet so I'm just here waiting for them."

Kyle: "Mind me joining you?"

Me: "Sure!" Well isn't this great, I'm hanging out with one of the schools most popular guy.

Me and Kyle started talking the both of us has a lot of common which is great because we'll be getting along very well. We were enjoying each others company that we started making jokes and telling about our experiences.

10 minutes later...

A few minutes pass by we're still talking, I was in a middle of telling a story when my two best friends had finally arrived. I glare at them for taking so long and they apologised for being late, we still had five minutes before class start so the four of us all went to our classroom.

While waiting for the bell to ring, me and Kyle were sitting next to each other; we were just talking about anime and music when Ash asked if he could borrow Kyle for a bit which I let him.

I turned around to talk to my best friends which was a huge mistake because when I turned around there was a trap waiting for me. Anne was there and she screamed at my face the moment I turned around which got me scared and made me scream.

She laughed so hard because of my reaction and said,

Anne: "AHAHAHAHA! DID YOU GET THAT BELLA?!" I looked at isabella's direction and see that her phone is pointed at me, I went pale as I realize that she have been recording this whole time.

Isabella: "HELL YEAH! I DID! HAHAHAHA" I glare at her and she just smiled at me before I could utter a word the bell rung, signaling that class is about to start. I told them that this is not over and I will deal with them later which I got a laugh from Anne and a grin from Bella.

The teacher came in and told us to open our books to page 147 while the teacher was discussing Kyle whispered to me saying,

Kyle: "Do you want to sit with me and my friends later at lunch, you can bring your friends as well." He quietly whispered so that we don't get caught.

Me: "Alright that would be nice."

Kyle: "Cool!" He said it a bit loud because the teacher looked at us then said to be quiet and listen to him discuss.

We apologise for being too loud and disturbing the class. I turn to see Anne and Bella staring at me disapprovingly, I said sorry and put a hand over my chest acting hurt. The both of them just chuckled at my act and went back listening to the discussion.

36 minutes later...

The bell finally rung and the teacher dismissed us, I told the girls that we were having lunch with Kyle and his friends which made them excited. As we left our room to go to the canteen, I was greeted by Kyle at the entrance, we high five each other and waited in line.

While waiting, we talked about the food we liked and where we like eating then before I know it we were already at the front of the line. So we ordered and went to our table, I sat beside Kyle while Anne was at the right side of me and Bella was also at the right side of Ash.

I looked at the two and faced Anne; she grinned then we started talking about the two it went like this,

Me: "Don't they just look good together?" I smile at the pair.

Anne: "Yeah, I really want them to be together and I just hope one of them confess." I nodded and replied,

Me: "Why don't we make Ash or Bella to confess?"

Anne: "Hmmm...I know, how about this I convince Bella to confess to Ash and you convince Ash to confess to her? Then we make them go on a date."

Me: "Not bad. Deal!" We high five each other then chuckled to our little plan.

I was about to ask Anne a question when Jake came and sat beside Anne; Anne was a little confused because she didn't know who he is. Kyle notice Jake so he greeted him, Jake was not paying attention to him, his attention was focus on Anne.

Anne was uncomfortable with his gaze, I was staring at Jake and saw a glint of hurt in his eyes but I'm not so sure if I saw that right. Jake extended his arm and introduced himself.

No one's POV:

Jake started to make a conversation with Anne which caught her off guard. She thought tha, why was the most papular guy wanted to have a conversation with her? But she played along with it.

Jake: "I'm Jake. Are you new here?"

Anne: "Y-yes, and my name is Anne." She said nerviously and scratched her neck.

Jake: "What a beautiful name for a pretty girl." He chuckles when Anne blushed at his compliment.

Jake's mind: "Cute." He smiled at his thought.

Anne: "So what's up?" She smiled brightly at Jake.

Jake: "Not much just hanging around school and stuff." He shrugged as he said this.

Anne was about to ask when Jake suddenly said something.

Jake: "Hey, Anne can you come with me for a second?"

Anne: "Why and where are we going?"

Jake: "Just come with me, I want to show you something before the bell rings."

Anne wasn't sure about this because they have just met and thought that she would make a wrong decision, but despite it she still agreed to go.

Anne: "Ok, sure."

She smiled warmly and Jake grabbed her hand, before leaving she bid her friends goodbye and told them to meet her at the school gate, after school.While Jake was dragging Anne a lot of students were looking at their hands, Anne felt embarrassed because she wasn't used getting attention and was blushing because Jake is holding Anne's hand like she would get lost.

Anne was getting curious on where they were going but Jake told her to wait and that their almost there, so Anne waited patiently.

3 minutes later...

A few minutes had passed and Anne was starting to get more and more curious. They have been going around the school which surprised Anne because she didn't thought that this school would be so big. A few stairs later they went through a door and bright sunlight covered Anne's vision, as her eyes adjusted Anne was struck with amazement.

They were on top of the school, she can almost see everything buildings, stores, and even the park can be seen. The time was perfect it was not too hot or cold just right and light breezes felt nice around her. Jake just stood behind Anne observing her and felt relieved that she was enjoying where he had brought her.
