Naruto climbed out of the car and stretched his tired limbs. He opened the back car doors before opening up the trunk to grab the backpacks.

Suki interlocked her arm with Yuika, smiling at her. "Let's go!" She said happily as she started to walk towards the hiking area.

Nao looked in the trunk and grabbed a dark brown picnic basket. "Hey! Wait up, Suki, Yuika!" He shouted as he grabbed onto Akira's arm and ran over to the two girls.

Naruto sighed as he shook his head, he closed the trunk of the car and locked the car. "Make you guys don't go too far!" He yelled in a warning tone. "What are you doing?" Naruto asked skeptically as he felt the backpack slowly get pulled off of his shoulders.

"No need to look at me like that, all I'm doing is carrying the backpack for you... it's the least I can do for you." For now at least, Neji wasn't sure when it happened but he made up his mind to get close to Naruto. Even if they couldn't be together romantically he'd be fine as long as he had Naruto in his life once again... and his children. A lot of things lined up, but he would act like he didn't notice a thing... for now at least.

"I can carry it." Naruto said quickly, glaring at Neji's back, he sighed to himself knowing that his attempts were futile. He knew that Neji could be quite stubborn once he made up his mind, he groaned in annoyance and followed them.

For the most part, the walk remained silent, the children talked to one another occasionally to point things out. The silence was replaced with birds chirping, the wind blowing, and their footsteps. Naruto walked in front of them while Neji walked behind them all, he looked down at the dirt road they were currently following, he tilted his head upwards, and smelt the air. "There seems to be two paths, which one do you guys want to take?" Naruto asked as he looked back at them.

"We should go left." Yuika clapped her hands together, looking at the road that went lefts

"Why that way? We should go to the right" Nao pointed to the path that went right.

"No-No how about we take the longest path to the destination." Suki said.

"Why the longest way?" Yuika asked in a confused tone as she turned her head to Suki.

"But that doesn't make sense, how would you know which path is the longest?" Akira inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Well if you go the long way we can enjoy nature more and get hungry. Then eat and take another route back. Besides, it looks pretty here so we should enjoy it while we can." Suki replied before facing her mother. "Can we mom?"

"I don't mind as long as everyone agrees to go that way." Naruto replied, placing a hand on his daughters head.

Suki looked at them with puppy eyes and jumped in excitement when they all nodded in agreement. It was a reluctant agreement, but they agreed nonetheless. "Okay, let's go!" She chirped happily, looking at the sign, the one that went to the left seemed to be the longest.

"There is no guarantee that this path is longer, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the other path in a few minutes." Nao said as he closed his eyes. "It doesn't matter about how long it takes, the adventures does." He placed his hands behind his head as he reopened his eyes.

"Wow look at you getting all sentimental." Akira said with a slight smirk, teasing his brother. "I never thought that you'd get so emotional over something like this."

Nao rolled his eyes, looking at the different types of trees, his eyes sparkled with interest as he watched how the leafs blew in the wind, how some of them fell from trees when there was a strong gust of wind. 'Beautiful.' He thought to himself as he smiled.

"Woah! Look at the river it's so pretty and clear!" Yuika said happily as she ran over to the river holding Suki's hand watching as the fish swam past every few minutes.

Naruto looked at the river and watched as some fish swam by. "I forgot how peaceful this feels." He mumbled to himself as he smiled softly, he snapped out of his thoughts and shook his head. "Does anyone want water before we continue?" He asked as he grabbed the light blue thermal water bottle from the side of his backpack.
