donghyuck scans his eyes towards the bookshelf he is in—romantic novels.

donghyuck is a fan of romantic novels even if he himself is a hopeless romantic.

he just likes to read romantic novels because he imagines himself and mark—the senior who everyone has a crush on and who is also donghyuck's bestfriend.

mark had been donghyuck's bestfriend since they were in middle school and in the time of their friendship, donghyuck had been noticing his feelings towards the older.

at first he thought that it was just a brotherly love, but he feels as if it is something more.

everytime mark would just do a simple touch to donghyuck, his body feels waves of electricity flowing through his body.

he had been trying to hide it for three years already. trying to hide it by reading romantic novels, which was by the way, way worse than having to be plain single.

he would imagine himself and the older in a specific scene and it would make donghyuck smile all day long making mark look and question him weirdly.

"the notebook..." donghyuck says to himself as he grazes his hands on the book bindings.

he may have read the book four times already, but the book was that good for it to be read for the fifth time.

donghyuck is still trying to find the book, grazing his fingers along each spine of the book as he wanders along the shelves.

he had came across a lot of similar ones but "the notebook" is yet to be found.

to donghyuck's dismay, the book had already been borrowed.

he mutters the book's name under his breath, his fingers still grazing on every binding of the books on the shelf.

"i swear it was on this shelf." donghyuck whispers to himself and in the corner of his eye, he sees a man walk into the aisle he is in.

the man is wearing the same school uniform as donghyuck was wearing, but donghyuck didn't pay that much attention to the man nor the clothes he is wearing. he just payed attention to find the book he wants to read.
