"One more word and I am stopping the car"

"Okay I'll be quiet... oh wait that was four words, OH NO I SAID EVEN MORE WORDS"

Iwaizumi sighed as he gripped the steering wheel even harder. Oikawa simply chuckled, throwing his arms all around the place making Iwaizumi swerve slightly.

"Sorry about that, I'm just excited", Oikawa apologized quickly knowing Iwaizumi would never actually get mad at him.

"I'm beginning to regret taking you on this car trip" Iwaizumi sighed, he lied of course. He made sure to plan everything so that the two of the could enjoy the trip and only made it seem like he was planning to go alone. Just the thought of leaving Oikawa made him sick - which wouldn't happen before, but as time went by Iwaizumi got more used to these weird feelings.

"You won't regret it, I will make this the best trip of your entire life" Oikawa said excitedly and turned the music volume up. There was only one artist they agreed on together. Iwaizumi, being Iwaizumi, like a handful of different artists mostly leaning towards hiphop and r&b. Oikawa, on the other hand, was more into EDM and rap.

No surprise the two settled on TMG and listened to the same songs on repeat through out the whole trip.

As Oikawa sang his heart out Iwaizumi couldn't help but smile. He wouldn't trade Oikawa's happiness for anything in the entire universe.

Seeing his best friend happy like this brought him joy, but... was it only joy?

That was the problem Iwaizumi was having. It was not just joy, but he couldn't quite put his finger on the other feelings that would engulf him whenever he was with Oikawa.

He knew him for all his life, he knew Oikawa's weaknesses and strengths, he knew his likes and dislikes, he knew from a single gesture how the other was feeling and for years he felt comfortable being near him, but lately as he noticed it was becoming hard to keep his cool around the brunette.

For some reason Oikawa was just so handsome. Did he always look like that or did he recently start a new care routine? How come his laugh is so cute? And how come he sneezes in such an adorable way? Why is his voice so smooth, like silk? And why does Iwaizumi tense up whenever the other touches him?

All these questions, yet no answers.

"Iwaizumi, I wanna tell you something", Oikawa suddenly spoke.

"Yeah what is it?"

"I'm so happy you're my friend... my best friend"

"Oh..."
