Yū Nishinoya x Reader - So cute~

First Oneshot after a long time. Sorry if it's not very good lol.

Key:
• Bold - some information.
• 'Italics' with apostrophes - thoughts.

Context:
• You and Nishinoya are second years.
• You guys are neighbours, your parents are close friends, however you rarely talk to Nishinoya.
• Takes place at the start of your second year.
• Your best friend is called Hina, you have known her for 5 years.
• The floors are represented by letters, eg. A, B, C, floor 1, 2, and 3 in that order. Floor A are where the first year classes are.
• The classes are represented by numbers, the smaller the number, the "smarter" the people are in that class. So class C3, is a third year class with people that achieve average grades. There are 6 classes in each year. (Hopefully that all makes sense lol)

This morning, Hina texted you saying that she had a dentist appointment and couldn't walk to school with you. Unfortunately, you weren't really close enough with anyone else to ask if you could walk with them, plus it would be very short notice and you didn't want to disrupt people.
'Damn it Hina, it's because you eat so many sweets!' 'Ah well, her health is more important than walking to school with me.'
You shrugged and got ready for school.
"I'm leaving!" You called out to your parents.
"Be safe!" Your mum shouted back.
Your dad waved while he read from the morning newspaper.
You closed the door and walked to your gate.

"Excuse me."
Startled, you looked to your right. A short boy was looking at you brightly.
'Cute..' you thought.
"Hello" you said calmly.
"Hi! Do you have anyone to walk with?? You look sad."
'I look sad? I mean I guess he isn't wrong'
"Well, I usually walk with my friend but she's got a dentist appointment."
"That means I can walk with you right? Nice! My names Nishinoya Yū, called me Nishinoya!"
'Uhh, okay..I guess I'll walk with him...'
"Nice to meet you, I'm (L/N)(F/N)."
"That's a cool name, let's be friends!"
'Wow, okay that was quick, we just met and now we're friends? Oh well, he seems like a nice person.'
You and Nishinoya walked together to small, making small talk. It was a pleasant walk, and you almost felt unhappy when you saw the school gate.
"Hey Nishinoya, what class are you in? I'm in B2."
"Umm." He fumbled with his timetable. "..B5..."
'Is he embarrassed? Awhhhh!!'
"Cool, what number locker do you have?" You tried to be tactical.
After your question, Nishinoya looked at you with a massive grin. Probably because you didn't seem to care about what class he was in.
"My locker is number is 285."
"What a coincidence, mine's number 286. It's weird that I never saw you." You said slightly confused.
"It's because I don't use my locker at all, there's probably some stuff in there but I never check" he said nonchalantly.
'What?? Doesn't he have any textbooks??'
"Where do you put your textbooks? Do you carry them all day?"
"I don't have any."
'HUHH?!? HOW IS HE EVEN IN SCHOOL!?'
"Isn't it hard to study without textbooks Nishinoya?" You questioned.
"Yeah...But I do volleyball so I don't have as much time as most people." He pouted.
"Volleyball?" Interested, you pressed.
"Yeah..I know I'm not tall but I still do my part!" Nishinoya exclaimed, his eyes sparkling. "I'm a libero so I don't need to be tall, but even if I were tall I'd still want to be a libero!"
You and Nishinoya talked about volleyball until you got to your lockers.
Nishinoya continued talking while you asked questions and took put some textbooks in your locker.
Then the bell rang.

"Awwhh it was so fun talking to you (L/N)-san, let's hangout more okay?" He said cheerfully.
"Yeah, are you free at break and lunch?" You asked.
"I'm practicing at lunch but at break I'll meet you at your class."
Disappointed, you sighed, "Ohh.."
Upon noticing your change of mood, Nishinoya said, "Hey, why don't you come and watch me practice at lunch? My friends won't mind!"
You smiled. "Are you sure? I wouldn't like to distract you guys."
"You won't!! Anyway I gotta go, see you later!!" He waved and jogged down the hallway.
'He's so cute, I can't wait for break and lunch!'
