The drive continues, the sound from the radio giving slight noises of music from the low volume it's at. Chrollo decided to stop at a gas station, that was more or less abandoned, seeing that nothing was around except for the asphalt road. As Chrollo got out to stretch, the boy stirred but didn't awake. After Chrollo got the gas without paying, he got back in the car making sure not to wake the boy, not yet. It was around 3 am, the night was dark with the only light from the stars and moon. The man, having a few cups of coffee on hand, wasn't that tired, but his body felt like falling apart. He tapped his fingers to the faint song that was playing. The night was relaxing, nothing was awake, it was him and the night. But, all things end, nothing happened in the next few hours, just the occasional song change but nothing drastic. The sun started to peak, with no clouds in the sky. The day was warm for the usual fall weather. Chrollo blinked at the boy, Kurapika was so peaceful when sleeping. No yelling and arguing. And with the fur from the coat on his face, he looked perfect, the only thing that could make it better was his scarlet eyes, staring at him passionately, but when would that happen? Kurapika woke from the sunlight, to be surprised from the fur on his face, since he just woke he didn't really know what was happening, he might have even snuggled closer in the jacket of his foe. Once he realized he was in a car and a man was looking at him, he shot up, saw the peters cross on the jacket and took it off him. He was angry, but flustered, you could even see a hint of red on his cheeks. Chrollo chuckled.
"I hate you, I hate you so much." Kurapika said
"Oh, I know, it's still a bit funny seeing you hugging my jacket." Chrollo said, wanting a reaction.
"Shut up." Kurapika replied. Chrollo made a chuckle again, Kurapika stared at him, so, so angrily. Kurapika hated him, wanted him to die, wanting himself to kill him. Kurapika gave up staring by sighing and looking out the window. Beside the anger, he was confused, so confused. Why would he do that, why did he do all these nice things to him. It was absurd. They kept driving, and driving and even more driving. Chrollo needed a break, he pulled over, just to stretch and maybe just take a breather. The day sun was bright. The moon was like the sun in a way, What is the night without moon, and what is the day without the sun? They also sometimes overlap, to make an eclipse. Kurapika questioned why he got out of the car without saying anything, not even looking over.  Just looking over the trees, the different colors of the leaves. He decided, too, to get out of the car. Kurapika saw a tree and climbed, it just felt natural. Chrollo watched, leaning on the stolen car. Kurapika needed to think about the morning more. He blushed, blushed to having the coat on him. Was- no he would not finish that sentence, never in a million years. Never. After the short stop, Chrollo called him down to the car and back to driving, lots of driving. Kurapika decided to say something.
"What do you truly want from me?"
"Your loyalty, I want you to be part of my team, I said that from the beginning." Kurapika almost laughed. When would that ever happen in Chrollo's mind.
"Why do you ask?" The man said
"Curiosity." The blonde said. Chrollo had a plan, a smart plan. He just needed the right timing for everything. He needed to wait til the anger was out of him.
"Now I get to ask you a question, In the next town, there is a city type of town, I say town because it's never crowded." Chrollo said, glancing at the boy, "A pair of eyes are there, I wanted to know if you want to get them first when we get there or, we can wait a bit. I like this city a lot, not for stealing but for walking around." Chrollo said.
"Well do I really have a choice?" Kurapika said.
"I'll take that as you want to stay. Oh, also do you want to sleep outside tonight, I need rest." The man said.
"I don't mind." The boy said. The drive stayed as long until 11 pm, before they got out of the car and locked it before walking into the woods. Kurapika laid into a tree while Chrollo summoned his book for some food.
"Kurapika, I have food, come down and eat."  Kurapika jumped down, looked at the sandwich before taking a bite. It tasted fine. Kurapika finished, dusting his hands off before climbing the tree again. Chrollo laid on the ground next to the fire he started. Bright, ferocious and hot. Chrollo chuckled again, before going into his sleep. Day followed, repetitive huh? They got back to car after waking up. The drive continues, they would make it to the destination by tonight. Kurapika seemed calm right now, perfect.
"So Kurapika," The blonde twitched at the name but looked over. "You know how I told you I like looking around at this town? I wanted to really know if you wanted to walk around with me, maybe see a musical, or show? I know a bunch of different places." Chrollo said. Kurapika was confusing once again.
"Demand or my choice?" Kurapika said
"Your choice."
"As much as I don't want to, I'm dying for a bit of entertainment." Once Kurapika said that, he now just realized what Chrollo was asking. "Wait, is this a.. date?"
"Only if you want it to be." Chrollo said. Kurapika sighed in relief. Chrollo knew they were progressing, he could even see that Kurapika wasn't as mad as before when he captured him, though he was still definitely mad. Perfect.
