        One year later
As Feyre was walking though the woods that breezy autumn day, she couldn't help but wonder what the winter would bring. Normally winter would be freezing and she would struggle to keep her family some what fed, but Feyre had this gut feeling that things would be different this year.
During the summer, Elain helped Feyre plant a small garden with the money that they had scrounged to save, and she hoped the harvest of it would be enough to keep their struggling family of four alive during the winter.
The Archeron's family name was already rumored amongst the small community as the family whose father gave up providing for his family because of his cowardice. Feyre hated being known for such despicable things, so she tried to keep the bills payed at their manor with the last bit of money they had in the bank. She knew they couldn't keep it up for long, so she was already trying to find back up plans.
Isaac Hale, Feyre's only "friend" was meeting her today at the stables to help her find a solution to their her families living situation.
Isaac and Feyre had met one day while they were both walking into the market. Their conversation started out about the chickens Isaac was bringing to sell at the market to gain as much profit as he could for his struggling family. And ever since then, they had been acquaintances. Feyre was always leery of making friends because she never knew if they would betray her. But so far, Isaac has done nothing of the sort.
As the weeks drug on, Feyre and Isaac became closer. They started meeting out in a old barn by his house and talking late into the nights. They debated on wether or not the King of Hybern would raise taxes again, or if he would strengthen the border between them and the Fae.
But one night, Isaac asked Feyre a question. He said " Feyre, if I were to ask you to run away from this dump of a town and start a life with me, would you do it?" "Yes, Isaac. I think I love you, so of course I would run away to a better place with you." She said.
And this conversation lead to other things happening in the barn without adult supervision. And kept progressing, until Nesta finally barged into the barn from outside. "What the heck do you think you are doing Feyre?!" She asked outraged. Feyre hastily put on her clothes on as Nesta pulled her away from Isaac's bare arms. "Nesta! I love him." Feyre exclaimed. "There is no room for love when there is work to be done." Her sister scolded. Then Isaac piped up and said to Feyre, "I'm sorry, Feyre. I told your sister that we had been secretly meeting here at night, hoping that she would find some decency in it all, but she did not. I am so sorry." Feyre didn't know what to think. She trusted the boy named Isaac Hale with her secrets, her life, and her problems, and he betrayed her by telling her sister of the only place they could meet with our getting caught. Never again would Feyre Archeron trust someone with her feelings, never again. For all love comes at a great cost.
