It was a normal day.

Nobody thought anything special would happen, except for the few million people that had special occasions planned for that day from moths before.

But no... for the other countless people in this world, it was only a normal day.

A day of repetition, a day of happy, sad, stressed, overjoyed, confident, and nervousness.

But... that day... became the last day humanity would ever have with "their world".

Chapter One/Prologue: The Day Humanity Was Frozen in Time

It was around eleven, but like always, I was having an early lunch with a few friends of mine.
You see, for me, I had 'A' lunch. Which meant, that I — and everyone else who had 'A' lunch, had to eat early.
Of course, 'B' lunch had to eat late, so... it really didn't matter.

Since I was also a senior, or what I used to go by in the states; a junior, I had an off period. Yaaayy...! *sooooo enthusiastic*

(Listen here folks, I have no clue if Japan gives students off periods, and I'm not going to search for it because it's three in the morning and I need to go to the bathroom but I can't go because of how freaking cold it is outside of my blankets — anyway! I'm not searching for it, SO! We're just going to pretend that Japan gives off periods and live with it. ONTO THE STORY!!)

And luckily, *flicks hair* my off period is right after my lunch. *bedazzle*

"Yes, I know! I'll be careful, dad." I held my phone up to my ear as I walked down an all too familiar sidewalk.

Usually, with my friends, I would only drink some milk or tea during lunch (which lasted less than 10 minutes) and then we also usually end up parting ways to either go off to our next period, to the library or to go home like me.

"No..." I sighed. "I don't have my Pepper spray, dad." My father was overprotective, especially since he was an only parent to an only child. Aaaand that only child was *clears throat* attractive. *wink* *sparkle*

"I'll be okay though!" I quickly cut my father off before he could start yelling at me for not being cautious.

"I know a few defensive techniques, I'm sort of strong, — but like beast strong for a girl." I coughed and then cleared my throat. "And... dad, I'm... I know I'm cute, — sort of attractive, but no way will someone pursue me so much that they'll attempt rape." I smiled.
Little did I know.

Stopping my momentum when I came across a crosswalk I spoke up again.
"I'll be okay, dad. I promise." He sighed on the other side of the phone. "I don't know how many times I have to tell you that." I chucked.

"All right... — just... haaa.... promise me you'll be safe." He sounded distressed, but then again he was always overly worried when we had these types of conversations.

"I will dad." I giggled, starting up my momentum again as the walk light came on.
"Anyways," I exhaled. "I gotta get going, I need to get started on my AP notes and I think my phone is probably at 95%, and you know how I am with my phone battery." I giggled again.
