The Promise

Your Safe In My Arms

    Minutes pass, while they're  at the meeting. The healer called Yunlan because Shen Wei  had awaken and call for him.

    Yunlan excuse himself and hurriedly  went to his wife side. Shen Wei  still looking so pale and sickly smile back to Yunlan. Yunlan enveloped  him to his embrace. "How did I get here? Am I dead and in heaven seeing you once again?!" He ask as tears rolls from his eyes.

    "No! We rescue you! Your safe here! I won't  let take you away from me again! Promise!" As he hold him tightly. "Xiao Lan let me hear our child can I?" He ask. As Yunlan wipe his tears and let Shen Wei near his stomach. The child kick making Shen Wei  startled  at first. But he suddenly  cough. As Yunlan let him rest in his bed. While he climbed  beside Shen Wei  to hug him tightly.

    "Xiao Lan! I might infect you with my flu! The doctor said I have a slight fever!" As Shen Wei  slightly  push him back. But that made Yunlan hold him tightly. "I don't  care if I might get your flu! I just don't  want to be seperated from you again!

    You know how much I miss you even for a second!" That made Shen Wei  gasp hearing Yunlan confession.  "When you left  me here I almost die not seeing your lovely face!" That made Shen Wei  buried his face on Yunlan's neck. "But I'm not beautiful  anymore! I got a big scare on my face now!" As he started to cry.

    "Hush! Xiao Wei! Your still beautiful  for  me! No one can compare to your beauty even you have scar on your face! I will still love you forever! And both of us would have a lovely child to raise! You and I!" As Yunlan kiss his face gently. Since the wound on his face is still not healed.

    Shen Wei  hiss in pain, while Yunlan blew lightly on it and caressing his face. "You mean your not scared on what I look like? I look hideous with this scar!" As he tried to hold it. Yunlan suddenly  grip his wrist to prevent him from hiding it from him.

    "Everytime I see that scar it will remind me on how you protect me and our  unborn child. I will tell to him on how I am very proud that your my wife who defend us from danger!" Both of them cried. Suddenly  they came a knock on the door. Yunlan wipe Shen Wei's tears as well as him. When Da quing  came with  a tray of foods as he laid it on the bed. And excuse himself to leave.

    Yunlan tried to spoon feed Shen Wei  little by little.  Because Shen Wei  stomach still ache on the bruises done by his brothers on him. Everytime Shen Wei wyn on his food. Yunlan would let Shen Wei  cuddle to his embrace. While kissing him on his head.

    "I might like being wounded! As you always  baby me like this!" He suddenly  laugh a little.  "I will always do this if you want to?!" While nuzzling to his hair. Shen Wei  blushed and cough a little. "Can I take a rest now?" He ask. Yunlan nod and laid the tray on a nearby table. As he carefully  laid Shen  Wei's  head back to his pillow.

    Yunlan tuck him with the blanket as he was about to leave. "Please! Could you accompany  me for awhile! I'm still scared that this is all just a dream! And you might disappeared.  As I wake up back in the dungeon." Said Shen Wei  as he hold Yunlan shirt.

    Yunlan nod in reply and snuggle  back to Shen Wei  and embrace  him. "Xiao Lan! I miss your warm embrace. In that cellar, it's  so cold and dark! I had already  loosing hope in seeing your face. As they kept punching and kicking me so I might tell them where I have portal you! I just waiting there to die! But then  you rescue me! Thank you!" Said Shen Wei.  Yunlan kiss him gently. As he tried to hold his tears, "After this war we will have a nice vacation just the three of us!" As both fall asleep.

    In midnight, Shen Wei  kept on screaming making Yunlan wake up as he shake Shen Wei up. As Shen Wei  fluttered open his beautiful dark eyes.
"Yunlan! Please don't go to the battlefield! Let that sword pick another hero! I won't  let you go to it!" As he hold Yunlan tightly.

    "Xiao Wei! I can't  I .....the sword and I have a contract. If I will give him his revenge he will help me rescue you! And now your here! In my arms! I can't  back away with  my words!" Said Yunlan.

    "But tell me how can you fight?! When your pregnant! If only I am human it will be eight  months! But I'm not! Any days or minute that baby will grow fast! And you  need to give birth to our child! How will the power of the sword defend our unborn child?! Huh?! Tell me?!" Shen Wei  ask.

     "About that, I ask Yezun to transfer our child to Zhu Hong, because she's  a woman and can have our child in her womb for a while. After the war Yezun will transfer it back  to me! So our child will be safe here with you!" Suddenly  Shen Wei  shake his head. "No! No! Do you hear me! I won't  let you fight against the gods! They will crush  you! Do you understand?! And they will surely kill you for you have killed many of my brothers! My father will never give you mercy! I won't  let you do it! No!"

    Yunlan suddenly  kiss him on the forehead. "My Xiao Wei! I promise I will win this war and gave you everything  you have lost!" But Shen Wei  cut him off. "I just want you and our child! Let them have my power and kingdom! I just want you and our child! Can't  you understand that!"  As Shen Wei  cried on his shoulder. Yunlan just smile on him. "Xiao Wei  take a rest! Tomorrow  we will talk, okay!"  As Yunlan laid Shen  Wei  back to his embrace. Shen Wei hold him tightly. "I won't  let you go! Do you here me?!" But suddenly  he fell asleep as Yunlan sing him a lovely song.

     "Please  Xiao Wei don't  be angry to me if I suddenly  leave you..... I want you and our child to live peacefully  and happy even without me!" As he kiss Shen Wei  for the last time and disappeared  beside him.
