When you spend an eternity trying to perfect that one chapter
I have only made one book and can sadly say that I have been through this. I don't know if it is just me, but I usually write down a layout of how I want my stories to go. And when something isn't to suspenseful, or boring, or makes no sense, I spend forever trying to fix it.
It's like ice cream. If it's just vanilla, it's boring. I'm extra so I need sprinkles, an extra flavor, and a cherry on top. If there is no toppings other than vanilla, you might not draw in the reader. Unless, they have been given vanilla ice cream all their life and have never been exposed to the glorious, life changing toppings. 😯😵😊
