The second I opened the book and saw the title of the first chapter I already knew that it wouldn't be easy for me. Like I already said, I didn't get educated a lot about magical subjects. And that's exactly what I needed to know things about right now. I groaned in frustration. 'How am I supposed to know all of this before the classes will start' I thought. I tried my best to learn as much out of the books as possible, but they were continuously pointing to others things were I didn't know anything about. At some point I thought that it was maybe better when I would go and walk a bit.

I decided that I could try to train my ability of navigating in this place. Because I ofcourse didn't want to get lost her again.

After a few minutes I began too realize that I didn't recognize where I was. The hallways looked different from the ones I saw earlier. I was so lost in thoughts about these different hallways that I didn't watch out and bumped into someone. We both fell on the ground. 'sorry' I quickly said. I stood up and offered her a hand. Inoticed that it was a girl with long, brown and curly hair. She had brown eyes and she had a scar on her right eye. I estimated her to be around 5.2ft. But when I offered her my hand the only thing she did was looking at me in shock. 'you' she said. 'you' 'you' 'you' she repeated. Then she seemed to realize that she lay on the ground and quickly stood up, but her eyes never stopped staring at me. 'no, it's impossible, how.' Then she seemed to notice that she stared at me and quickly looked to the ground. She took a deep breath and looked at me again. This time I couldn't see the shock in her face anymore, but I could sense that she wasn't completely calmed down yet. 'why are you here' she said 'don't you know that students aren't allowed here?' 'but, aren't you also a student' I asked. 'being a student isn't the only way to get to life in this place.' 'what is your reason to be here then' I asked.

She looked at me for a second. 'that's a question for later' she answered. 'can I at least know your name then?' 'Amy, just call me Amy.' 'when you ever want to come to me, go to the library at midnight.' 'when you come I will tell you where you can find me' she said. I looked at her confused. 'why would I want answers, and about what do I want answers' I asked. 'you will find out soon enough' she answered before turning around and disappearing into the dark hallway in front of me.

When I came back to my room I thought about what see said. I didn't want to go to the library at midnight but I was still very curious about those answers she was talking about. I looked at the clock and saw that it was around 8 pm. I decided that I would better take a quick nap before going to the library.

When I woke up I saw that it was 11:50 pm. I hurried out of my bed and tried to go as quickly but also as silent as possible to the library. I arrived there at 11:59 pm. I looked around but saw no one. I almost thought that it was some kind of weird prank and was just about to go back to my room when it became midnight. Exactly on the moment it became midnight I heard someone. 'so you came.' I turned around and saw Amy. 'I was just curious' I answered. 'O yeah, I think that isn't the only reason that you came here, don't you think?' 'what do you mean' 'why would I be here otherwise' I asked in confusion. 'that is a subject to talk about another time, we aren't here for that now.' 'I can only be here for a couple minutes after that I need to go again.' 'you can always find me in the top of the western tower, or here in the library.' 'O, and before I forget it, be warned, don't trust everyone with everything, it can later be used towards you.' She glanced at me once more and left the library.

I couldn't fall asleep that night. I continuously had the feeling like something wasn't right. Suddenly I heard a sound coming from the direction of my window. I immediately grabbed the first thing were I could lay my hands on (a metal ruler) to defend myself and slowly walked towards my window. I peeked through the curtains and there I saw...

Ferdinand?!

I immediately dropped my metal ruler and opened my window. 'Ferdinand, what are you doing here and why were you outside my window?' 'I am not part of this academy so they wouldn't have let me in, but I really wanted to see you, it is such a long time ago that I saw you for the last time.' 'Yes, that's true.' 'I have so many questions right now!' 'where have you been and on which academy do you study' 'O and, ofcourse, which path did you get?' After I asked the last question his expression darkened for a moment, but a second later he looked normal again. 'I get that you have a lot of questions right now, but can I before I answer them at least come inside?' 'O, yeah, sure.' I quickly stepped aside so Ferdinand could come in.

When he came inside I couldn't help but feel that something was off. 'did something happen, is that why you are here?' 'no, it's just' he looked around and sighed 'can you please just not tell others that I came here, please, it's important that as few people as possible know about this.' 'why' I asked in concussion. 'I will explain later, okay?' 'okay' I said. After that we chatted a bit. I told him some things about my new friends here and the school and then he left. But before he left he told me that he would come back soon.
