Dragonrider (the powers of the unknown series part 1)

Chapter 5

It was all black around me. I couldn't feel anything. I couldn't hear anything. I couldn't see anything. Slowly I became aware of the fact that I was laying on something hard and cold. I tried to open my eyes, but then I got blinded by the light so I quickly closed my eyes again. After a couple moments I tried it again but this time slowly. I looked around me and noticed that I was in unfamiliar surrounding. Then I suddenly remembered what happened. I quickly stood up but paused when I got caught by a wave of dizziness.

It took me a couple tries before I finally succeeded in standing up and not immediately fall down again. When I stood I scanned my surroundings but saw nothing strange. I felt in the air that whatever attacked me was gone. The threatening feeling in the air was gone. Now I was rid of one of my problems, but now I still need to deal with the biggest problem I thought. I still didn't know where I was. And how to get back to the school. Suddenly I heard a voice behind me. 'are you lost?' I looked behind me and saw a girl from around my age standing a few feet away from me. I looked at her while deciding if it would be a good thing to do when I would answer her question. 'I only want to help' she said. 'I know the way.' I didn't think any further and took a step closer to her. 'follow me, I will show you how to get back.' I don't know why but for some reason following her felt like the right thing to do. She began to walk away and I quickly followed her.

After something that felt like a couple hours I could finally see the sky again. It was already pretty dark and you could already see the almost full moon. She walked a few more minutes and then I could finally see the academy again. 'thank you' I said. 'no problem' she answered. 'can I know who you are' I asked. She hesitated for a moment and then she said: 'you can call me Anoïala, Anoïala Gragfsa.' 'okay, then you can call me Mia, Mia Maya Delaragro.' I began to walk back to the academy when I noticed that she wasn't following me. That was kinda strange because the academy was the only building in the area. It lay pretty far away from the outside world. I looked behind me to call her, but when I turned around she was gone. I didn't have time to think much of it because suddenly I got grabbed by something. I quickly tried to punch my attacker. Until I noticed that it was Peter. 'Peter, what are you doing here, I thought you was some random attacker.' 'I can better ask you what you are doing here, you know that you was missing for three whole days?!' 'WAIT, WHAT' I screamed. I was shocked. Was I really in the forest for three whole days!

After Peter found me outside he brought me to my room. On our way to my room Oliver saw us and rushed to me. 'are you okay, where were you, do you know how worried we were?!' I couldn't answer their questions, I was suddenly very tired. The only thing I wanted was curling up in my bed and sleep. All the way to my room they both asked questions until I couldn't take it anymore. 'CAN YOU GUYS PLEASE SHUT UP FOR A SECOND, DON'T YOU GUYS SEE THAT I AM TIRED!' It became silent. 'sorry, I didn't mean it like that, I just...' Peter cut me of. 'we get it, you just want to rest don't you?' Peter looked like he got it, but Oliver looked like he was almost going to scream back at me but could himself just in time. 'yeah, it was a long day, and I really want to rest right now.' In the meen time we were almost at my door and I decided to say goodbye. After I said goodbye and watched them walk away I turned around and walked towards my door. I was just about to open my door when I heard someone. 'interesting' said a unfamiliar voice. I turned around and looked into a pair of very bright orange eyes. When I looked better I also saw a little bit yellow in it. 'who are you' I asked. 'I am Naloë Gargascof, and I already know who you are, Mia Maya Delaragro.' I looked at her in shock. How did she know my name, I can't remember that I ever met her before. 'you maybe don't know me, but I know enough about you.' On that moment I began to feel a little bit uncomfortable and scared, but I tried to not show my fear. 'you don't need to be afraid of me.' After that she looked at me for a while. After a while she spoke to me again. 'I look forward to meeting you again.' I looked puzzled at her. 'I am a teacher here, I teach history, art and dragon training for the dragonriders and dragon shifters.' 'and I am pretty sure of it that we will meet again soon.' After that she turned around and walked away. Leaving me behind. I was confused. I really can't remember that I ever met her. I think I am going to ask Peter or Oliver about her tomorrow. But I am first going to sleep now. While I spoke with that woman I didn't feel it anymore, but now the only thing I want to do is sleep again. When I came in my room I didn't even bother to put on my pyamas. I just immediately got in bed. The moment my head touched the soft surface of my bed I immediately drifted of to sleep. I was going to have my usual dream that night again. But on that moment I still didn't think anything of that dream. Later, I wished that it would have stayed like that, but sadly, it didn't.
